One of the mayoralty candidates in my hometown is promising in his campaign speeches that he is going to lend money (for placement fees) to anybody wishing to work abroad. Any comment?

All i can say... that candidate is a FAKE. Is he that rich to lend people in your town money for placement fees. Where would he be getting that? From your own funds in your town surely. That kind of candidate is not worth even a single vote. If I'm in your town and ask for mney for me to go abroad, I surely won't return to that town.

maybe he is a fake or amybe not, the best thing to do is to check his backgroud before jumping into coclusions.

The next time that candidate promises anything, tell him...KAUSAPIN MO ANG INGROWN MO!

Maybe that candidate intends to use public money for his "plan". Mayors have funds to their discretion. That candidate has to divulge where he intends to get his funds because if the money is his personal money, then it's fine. However, if public funds will be used, then it's up to you, the voting public, to do something about that.

any politician will promise anything just for us to vote them. but if he will fulfill that promise then it would be very good for us.

do not be fooled by these empty promises from politicians, these are are come-ons for you to vote for him, it is just like vote-buying, though indirectly offered, as there is no actual money handed out. If he is true to himself to help his constituents, the best thing he could do or say, is that, he is willing to extend help elections or no elections.
