What Am I?

Is it glove or a hand armor by any chance!? I went to the market and somebody was pointing somebody to a way with his finger, so it crossed my mind that may be it's glove or anything we can wear on hands with possibiliy of pointing. It can also meet the above given conditions somehow. don't laugh at me if it's ridiculous:-)
