Are you an overprotective parent?

Do you worry too much? Are you really overprotective with your kids? I know I am guilty of this. I am always so worried about something happening to my kids or them getting hurt, that I know I drive them crazy sometimes. It's hard to let them go and just be kids. What about you?

I don't think I am, i mean i do watch them to make sure they aren't doing anything too crazy but i do like to let them learn things on their own and let them experience things that kids should.

You better believe I am! Maybe it's because my oldest is autistic and non verbal, that I feel I need to be this way...Nah! I'd be this way even if he wasn't 'special', because I am a parent. ;) LOL

Yes I am very overprotective! I still make my 9 year old twins hold my hand when we cross the street, will not let them go to a concession stand, inside a store, or even check the post office box by themselves...I even take my little boy into the ladies room as I feel afraid to let him go into the mens room by himself. I know that I will need to let go someday...but I am not ready yet!
