Have you ever diagnosed yourself with a disorder/disease??

I've never diagnosed myself with something but I did diagnose my ex with depression and bi-polar disease and it turns out he had both. I ended up having to take him to a mental health facility to get him some treatment.

Yes, I diagnosed my fibromyalgia. I'd had all the symptoms for years, but at the time, most doctors had never heard of it, and getting diagnosed officially was almost impossible. By reading everything on the internet, and trying different suggestions, I've at least learned how to minimize the effects. I also diagnosed my husband's lactose intolerance, after tests and doctor's visits hadn't turned up anything they could identify. When I told the doctor what it was he just said he'd never heard of it, and didn't express any interest in learning more.
