For me it's a YES!!!! first the pressure, the health...... and the worst is easy target for armed hold-ups.Whew! Good salary but not good as a whole in one's life...right or wrong?

What? are you serious? i think it's pretty easy, just sitting there and talking to people, while making money in the bank... is such a pretty good job compared to others, you should be happy with what you have. =) just a word of advice.

it sounds its like a piece of cake... but just imagine yourself, talking nonstop 8hrs.... being a call center agent and a telephone operator are different..

Yes - it's one of the worst jobs I ever had. I found it so boring.

i previously worked on a call center as an email support. i can say that at first, it was really hard since working on a night shift is not that easy unless your body get used to it. the struggle may take two months but after that, u'll pretty well enjoy the job. what i really hate the most is having a night schedule during summer! (im very lucky and blessed if could sleep for 5 hours during summer*sigh*) as well as the night skeds, you're right it is very risky. but those wer the days... im now out of call center. I can say that it is really different from the "normal" companies. working on a call center is hard when it comes to the schedule, but when it comes to nature of the work, it is like a small cycle which in time, will caused you to get bored. it is really fun to work on call centers, but the things is, there are more negatives than positives when this is being talked about. practically, this is one of the easiest and best choice, but this usually tends to be temporary..if you think you're no longer happy, try to save and look for another job at the same time ;)
