I'm a new employee in one foreign business department of a medium factory. Actually, I don't like this job very much. Because my dream is to be an university English teacher. but I have no Master degree and I have to pass the exam for getting it. I came and worked in this company because I want to get some pratical knowledge in this part and I believe it is beneficial to my teaching career. However, nobody teach me anything since I worked here, only when I ask they will answer. All has to be learned by myself. I know I have a talent in learning new things, but I don't want to waste a lot of time in groping. Maybe something are much easier if somebody can give you some advice. but now the colleague seems to treat me as competitors and don't want to teach me the knowledge they have. So what should I do? I'm looking forward to your kind advice. Thank you!

Good luck with realising your desires. Anything is possible if you are willing to work at it. Try work with as many programmes as you can. Maybe seek pen-pals who have English as thier first language, learn from them as much as you can. I will have a look for some course that you might be able to do on line that might help you gain that masters if that is what you want. Over here in the UK we have what they call open university that people can work with and study from home and working towards masters and the likes! Lynn-Marie

It is a norm in some workplace that people treat each other like competitor. If you want something you have to work for it. You cannot expect somebody will come and help, a proactive person not wait but act - go and get it! It is good you have a job, some people dont have any. This job will give you confident and adds color to your cv too. You will find that your experience in this place will help you when you do your teaching later. (I am teaching too, but on study leave). Welcome to MyLot, feel free to read tips on how to success in MyLot at www.money20.blogspot.com . Good luck!
