A virus only affects your computer which can be sent as an attachment or other means, A Worm is sent via email and if opened it "sends itself" to all email recipiants in your address work there by worming its way through out the internet.

I think you must read this one! A COMPUTER VIRUS is delivered by email messages but a computer worm spreads through internet. VIRUSES are computer programs that are designed to spread themselves from one file to another on a single computer. A virus might rapidly infect every application file on an individual computer, or slowly infect the documents on that computer, but it does not intentionally try to spread itself from that computer to toher computers. In most cases, that's where humans come in. We send email document attachments, trade programs on diskettes, or copy files to file servers. When the next unexpecting user receives the infected file or disk, they spread the virus to their computer and so on. WORMS, on the other hand, are insidious because they rely less (or not at all) on human behavior in order to spread themselves from one computer to another. The worm is program that is designed to copy itself from one computer to anotehr over a network. The worm spreads itself to many computers over a network, and doesn't wait for a human being to help. This means that a computer worms spreads much more rapidly than a computer viruses. Hope this info helps yyou with your query.

Technically, a virus is a program that is intended to create adverse effects on a computer, while a worm is a program that propagates itself automatically throughout multiple computers through the network. Most viruses today are also worms, whereas in the past they propagated themselves thhrough removable media, e.g. floppy disks.

Hi ! huafeihua. Your photos are pretty. Virus and worm are different. I just join out Mylot. It's a good way to discuss and make feedback to people here. Why virus? Virus is alway attacking directly and cause damage to software and slowing down yours computer. Why Worm? Worm are acting as a small bug which consistently stealing data, passwords, and its cause a lot of problem during you are online. Worm is more dangerous than viruses because it's a tiny, and it's tricky program written by programmer. Make sure you have updated yours AntiVIRUS. Or you can get AVG Free Edition. Ezway9
