Ive been tryin to find a place on the net or off that i can patent 2 utterly ingenious ideas for to things i have invented. I figured out how to check if they already exist, which they do not i was surprised to find out. But the sites i checked for current patenets i couldnt find a way to patent a new idea. If you know of any sites i can register designs or a place which you coould provide a # or relavent info i would greatly appreciate it. Without disclosing the full details so no one can jack my ideas, one is a generator which needs no fuel or weather dependance to generate electricity, and the other is a toster which will save you burnt fingers tryin to get out the little toast or muffins i always fry myself tryin to extract. Please point me in the direction i need to go to get the ball rollin on these. Thanks

socorban, you cannot patent an idea, but you can patent the expression of the idea. You might find the following website helpful. http://www.benwiens.com/patents.html You have to apply at the The U.S. Patent And Trademark Office (USPTO)www.uspto.gov

Well there not really ideas anymore, i already made the generator on a small scale an use it to power a few things already, and the toaster shimatics have already been drawn up and im working on one right now, so they have left the realm of idea and are becomong physical things that no one else thought of or made yet. Ask your dad. He has filed for a patent before.

Ask your dad. He knows how and where to file for a patent.
