Do you have an addictive personality? If so, what kinds of things are you addicted to. How do you know if you have an addictive personality?

Well at least you're honest momma. I think we all have certain addictions in some form or another. It doesn't mean we are any less than perfect in other ways.

I think I probably do have an addictive personality. Some of it might even come under the category of being obsessive, as I don't easily seem to stop after several hours have gone by. Then I get mad at myself for not accomplishing very much. First I'm a smoker, unfortunately, so I know I'm addicted there. Lately I'm addicted to being online, spending way too many hours reading and responding to different things that interest me. I'm trying to find effective ways to work from home, so have been doing some writing, and reading a lot about other peoples tips of how to do well at that. And seeking information on things that work for other people and things that don't. I suppose I can justify that to myself and call it "research". In the past I've easily spent many hours playing an online game, trying to beat my last score. I'm basically an average player so my scores never go up anywhere near the high score players but that doesn't stop me from playing. As strange as this might sound, I started finding myself even becoming addicted to using on online Thesaurus. It was fascinating to me that I could put in one word, and then so many other better descriptive words would come up. Then I'd put in one of the words listed as a synonym just to see what different words would come up for that one. Of course this is useful for me in trying to find a better description word for something I was writing about. But then I got off track with it, and started putting in different words that I wasn't initially even interested in looking at, just to see what other words would come up for that one. Spoken like a true addict, I guess. Heaven help me if someone decides they need to take my computer and Internet connection away from me because they think I need an Intervention of some sort for "my own good".
