What are the best fillings for a pie?

any fruits will be ok for fillings. but for me the best fillings are the one's you make from scratch, the taste of freshness is there.

Coconut. This may not be the best for me as i also love apple, strawberry, & peach mango pie. But this is my all time favorite especially when served hot from the oven. "Buko(coconut) pie" is how we call it in the Philippines.

You can almost anything into a pie. Most fruit like blueberries, strawberries, peaches even pear pie is delicious not to mention many others. Chocolate, peanut butter, pumpkin, sweet potatoes, pecans, walnuts. You name it, you can make a pie. LOL

i like peach-mango pie, its really delicious and i can finished loads of it in one sitting lol

I think that the best fillings for a pie are blueberry, strawberry, apple and cherry! They are great and I love these fillings. I am also getting hungry!!

Lemon and Apple. that's the best. The crust also must be unbreakable so it will hold its shape when the pie is cut.

Blueberry makes a delicious pie. I also love apple pie and fresh strawberry pie...I'm getting hungry. :)

My husband will tell you fresh peach pie is the best. It's pretty much peaches, jello, cornstarch and sugar in a single crust. I Have to agree with him that it is pretty good. My absolute favorite is strawberry/rhubarb pie. It is getting so close to strawberry and rhubarb season my mouth is just watering thinking about it! :) My kids will tell you Chicken pot pie is their favorite pie. They don't seem to be big on the dessert types. Too bad really, that's just more for me. LOL!

I like so many kinds of pies! Right now I'm really craving a key lime pie. I also like peach -- but with some blueberries thrown in. Or strawberry, that is so good in the summertime, fresh out the fridge. YUM! I also love savory pies like chicken pot pie and shepherd's pie.

My favorite pie filling is peach. It can't be canned, it has to be fresh peach pie. Nice and warm served with ice cream....thanks, now I am hungry.
