Do you think that song remakes/revivals are better than the original ones? Should old songs be left alone because of the remakes? What are the best and worst song remakes you've heard in your entire life? Sometimes, i like remakes of other songs, it depends on how it's done and sometimes i've heard remakes that i liked better than the original song. There have been songs that i thought should have been left alone when i heard the remake but unfortunately, it's too late for them to go back...

i think it depends on the singer.in most cases the original song are better than the remix/copied song .i don't like to hear remix/copied song because it spoils the beauty of the original song.i think all the remix are the worst i have herd.

I really like cover songs in general, though there are some exceptions. I don't like it when a band that I don't like covers a song by a band that I do like. For example, I won't even listen to AFI's cover of "Head Like a Hole" (Nine Inch Nails) because I don't like AFI, and I've heard too many bad covers of NIN songs already. It's hard for me to pick a favorite because I have so many covers (I have 24 covers of "Paint It Black" alone). Of the cover songs that I have heard, though, I think A Perfect Circle's cover of "Imagine" is one of the most disappointing. I really don't like how they changed that song.

hello ms, scarywhitegirl! I think some bands/artists doesn't have any idea of composing a new and fresh music that's why most of them are making cover songs. Besides, it's "in" nowadays especially here in our country... Thanx! =)

I definitely love remakes especially when the song is sung by a high note singers and is being remaked by a middle range singer. It's nice to be able to sing along without killing yourself trying to reach a high note.

Personally I think that if a aband is not going to put some of their own style into the song they shouldn't bother. Exact copies like the remake of Don Henley's Boys of Summer by the Ataris aren't interesting. Madonna's Music I didn't like at all and I generally like her music but I love the cover by Out of Your Mouth. I also like Johnny Cash's cover of the Nine Inch Nail song Hurt. If the Beatles did it, they did it best. It is a shame that current artists are able to ride on the coattails of previous artists by remaking a song and marketing it to a newer generation.

It really depends on the song and the conditions. I usually stick to the original version, but when the new one has being produced with higher quality equipment/musicians/arrangement, I like them too. ^^
