Is There An Art To Being A Good Neighbor?

I am blessed with good neighbors but I know many people often don't like their neighbors. My neighbor wasn't always considered good neighbors. I decided to bake bread one day and take them a loaf of warm fresh bread as a sort of peace offering. We have been good neighbors eversince. I still bake bread and take them fresh loaf every now and again and she gives me fresh tomatoes in season. We stand at the back fence and chat about everything under the sun now. Is there an art to being a good neighbor? What have you done to be a good neighbor? Can you share your story here?

You are so fortunate to have good neighbors. Here where I am, they complain to the authorities as soon as they see something they don't like about you. I think building and maintaining good relationships be an art. Be nice to them, and they will be nice to you. That's the way to go.

i agree with you. when it comes to maintaining a harmonious relationship with ones neighbours, all it takes is some tolerance and lots of give and take. easier said than done i know, but always worth the effort!

I think that there is no real trua art to being a good neigbour, it all boils down to simple and basic manners and human civility. once all the ice is broken and formalaties are passed i believe that it is quite easy to maintain a cordial relationship with ones neighbours.
