hair coloring running from 40 on up, what has causd the dramatic increase in the hair color process. The hair color dosent last any longer then it used to so what has caused this huge increase in rice. I have really long hair but some shops wont color mine for under 60 dollars.

I usually buy "Pantene or Garnier Products", these two products are the only two products that will work my hair and bring out the best results, others I dont even bother with, they tend to stuff my hair up and make it feel straggly. They also work well and cost less.

I honestly wouldn't know - I haven't been to one in over 20 years. Paid $75 for a perm back then and the next day you couldn't tell I had gotten one - and I didn't do anything to cause it to fall. For under $10 and a couple hours I can do it myself. Also for under $5 can color my own - I love Nice & Easy :)

It's at least $60 in the city I live in but my mother says it doesn't cost that much where she lives. So I don't know why, I really want to get my hair highlighted but don't want to pay that much money, plus I'd have to keep going in for roots.

I think you are more or less payin for the labor and the talk with the hair stylist. I do not think the hair color costs that much, but the hair stylist has to pay for all their supplies, plus renting the space in the salon.
