Today morning i came to notice one thing. very recently i have put notofication on for few friends of mine. when i checked my mailbox i have seen that a single user has started about 30 discussion in a span of say 3-4 hours. i believe that these are really not very thoughtful and also almost all of them are one liners.and most of all i found only 1 of them worth answering. what is the motive behind this i don't know.some people are doing this just to increase points and money here in mylot. also most of the people answer these one liner discussions as they are easy to answer. What is your opinion.

Actually, right now I have someone on my friends list that rarely answers any of my discussions and posts at least 25 a day themself. My inbox is always full of their discussions, and to tell you the truth, I never answer even one. Why? Because they are not worth it. They are either copy & paste articles or one liners I cannot understand. This person is driving me to delete them, and I have never deleted anyone except spammers. If they are not helpful by either responding or by posting interesting topics, than to me I don't see the point of having them on my friends list.

People have many questions crossing their minds. Some like to ask each and every question that crops up,while others ask only a few of them depending upon the necessity and importance. Its a personal choice. You may be right in saying that money could be one of the factors.

I start less than 5 discussions daily. I usually start only 2-3/day. I reply to 15-20 discussions, but sometimes much lesser than that. Thats all I have time and motivation for.

We cannot deny that there are mylot members who are eager to earn a lot from this site that's why they start a discussion which is actually pointless. They don't even mind what's the exact point of their discussion that makes it not worth answering. I guess he would not probably earn a lot from his/her method.

I don't start discussions, a lot of them, in a single day. in fact, there are a lot of days that I don't even start even a single one. It depends on my mood and the ideas that run into my mind...

Everyone has his/her own object on mylot. For friends, for money, or for improving English. We shouldnt blame anyone. But I think that someone who posts too many discussions in a few minutes must be without thinking. I hope people be responsible here. This a good place, you can make friends, earn money and improve English here. If we are here only for money, I think the site will not stay for a long time, then you will lose the chance to earn money. If you think this a good site, please be responsible here. We are all members of this big family. Love it, firstly.

I agree with you totally. Please also be genuine in his/her discussions topic. It is very frustrating to see others copy and rephrase discussions.

Some people are just here for the money only and do not realize the one liners will probably be deleted before the end of the month. also a lot of people answer oneliners usually with a question to help the person and that will get the discussion going better. I don't let it bother me. To each his/her own. What works for some will not work for others. Sometimes people will have a rash of thoughts and they have to get it all down quickly before writers block kicks in. This may be a cause of multiple one liners too. But I think it is more likely the person is just trying to earn money. We don't know their situation so we should not judge. If it bothers you then you could turn that persons notify back off.

I usually do not respond to them. Eventually they will be deleted from my friends list because they are junking up the discussions. If they "THINK" they are going to make more with a one liner they are only fooling themselves. They are also the ones crying that they did 100 posts and got paid 29 cents. I can get that easily with 5 to 10 posts. If it is easy to answer but does not allow me to type enough to get paid for it, I don't answer it. It is a waste of time. It is also a waste of time digging through all of their crap in discussions my friends started category. I hate the build it and they will come attitude. It is so wrong.

I seldom start discussions not to mention just to start them all in one single day to earn points. I only start a discussion when I am interested in opinions or curious about the situation. Oh and I do notice some people start so many discussions within a period and some of the topics are similar and with not much descriptions. I don't find myself attracted to answer those discussions as well. I just ignore their existence!

I noticed the same thing. Some of them are even repeating or should I say 'rephrasing' a most recent posted topic. Some of them also upload pictures that are not really relevant with the topic. I hope the other users would learn to enjoy by responding to a more better discussion and think for a very good topic and if possible, a unique one rather than starting new threads that are not quite interesting. I know majority of us are indulging in this forum for the money but please don't make it as your main objective. How about considering mylot as a source of good information and gaining friends?

Yeah, I saw that one too. And i don't know how did this people manage to think about all those discussions. I know that posted a discussions will earn you points, but it useless if no one response to it. I think it not a quality discussions, although sometimes I like to answer those simple questions. I know that one liner discussions is very favorable by most people, but it's not the way mylot should be. Well, each people had own method. We can say no to them, and they have exact right to do that.

Whether you start or respond a discussion the earning mainly depends on the quality of your expression. One can earn more points/dollars by simply starting one or two quality discussion and respond 10-12 than starting 30 discussions. The main thing is make your discussions or responses interesting and read worthy. Although I am not a old enough member, but from my experience in mylot it is true.

for me, i dont starts discussion or post a response unless it interests me or those things im curios of... in the case above, i think the motive of the poster is just to earn more points or the poster is just "fun" of starting new discussion because he/she has nothing to do.

till now i have never started discuusions just to increase points. but some, as you pointed out, do start discuusions for sake of earning as they feel this will get them more money that their responses. its because of them that the unwanted no of discussions increase and when you look at these discussions you get bored thinking as to what has happened to the quality of discussions. these people should be made aware of the fact that one does not get points just for the sake of starting discussions. one has to get a minimum of 1 reponse in that discussion in order to get paid for it

I have a hard enough time thinking of one discussion to start. I can't imagine coming up with 30 discussions. I think my best day was maybe 4 discussions.

This is me too. I have to really want to know what other people think to start a discussion so I may start a couple a week if that many. The strange thing is the ones I think are most interesting get the least reponses ;-( LOL!

I think some here do start a discussion in a single day just to earn points because some here is their main concern is to earn money.Me my concern here is to gain friends and also a little to earn money.I do start a discussion only once a week or even once in a 3 weeks.I do answer a discussions that interest me.

Personally, I don't start many discussions. I put a lot of time thinking into composing them with the consideration that they are of good quality and they will generate a good number of responses. I don't know how others can manage to start tons of them and be able to comment on each and every response. I have to give it to them though, as it is really a very tough job. Anyways, I think they feel they get more earnings that way than posting responses. I'm more comfortable in posting responses and I'm just too glad that there are members out there who likes to start discussions. But no one liners please, because we all want to earn good money here and we don't want to risk being deleted.

I only start a discussion if it is a quality discussion. I don't believe in putting a discussion that only starts with one line. A discussion to me means that you post your subject and then also put how you feel about it yourself asking the opinion of other members. So most days I don't post a discussion but go around and read other discussions and respond accordingly.

Yeah I had experiences like this. I started a single discussion on a topic which I felt was a good one. Then after a day when I went to my interests and tried searching for my discussion, I found that it was buried under 8 discussions done by the same user. Some nonsensical questions that has really no significance and deserve no response. It was really annoying. And to top it all, the discussion starter was a newbie, with a minimum post on 13 discussions. Newbies are really in a hurry to earn money, I suppose. They just slow down when they realize that it really takes time and effort.
