Especially if your health has been on a down hill slide for a long time, My health seems to have been getting worse lately, a lot, I mean I caught pnemonia without even trying, and had to go to the doctor, twice, and I have a referral to go again to another doctor because they found something else wrong. And I feel like I am falling apart, and I hurt all the time everyday. How can I fix this, is it possible or will this be what my life is from now on? Have you ever had poor health and managed to get healthy again, and physcally fit??? If so how did you do it????

Noone tries to get pneumonia, it just happens. Pneumonia is really hard on the body, both lungs and heart. Do go to your doctor appointments and do try to rest whenever you can. be sure you are telling your doctor about ALL of your aches and pains. take your medicine the way prescribed and giove yourself time to get well. you will, attitude has a lot to do with it also. Try to believe yuo are going to get well. Find the ltille things to think about. If you wake and your pinky does not hurt, rejoice in that. Each day a new part of you will stop hurting and be joyful about that. I will pray you start to feel better soon. Blessed Be!

At some point you must decide when NOT to keep seeing doctros. I try to keep them focused on the one thing that I came to see them about. If what they found wrong with you isn't life threatening then they are probably nit picking, and they tend to do that when something doesn't seem to be what is "text book normal". I know that you are worried. As we get older or when we get rundown we are susceptible to a few illnesses. Many times rest is the answer, and that is hard to get when doctors keep you worried! Your pneumonia might be due to the amount of work you have been doing. Please take time to rest. See this ONE doctor about whatever it was that was found, but try not to let them talk you into alot of treatments until you can research the information online at a few good medical sites.

I hate going to the doctor and only ever go if I figure out that I can not fix something myself. And what I am going for is to have my thyroid treated, it has nodules on it for one thing, for another it is not working right at all, plus I have pcos and I need to get that treated too, and I need to go to the doctor because I have glaucoma but I have not been in a long time, I am hoping I can see the eye doctor soon though, I have to pay that bill first we do not have eye care insurance so it takes awhile. I probably just need to stop thinking about the things I need to fix. Anyway I just want to get my thyroid fixed and the pcos treated and make sure I don't have some sort of cancer they want to do a biopsy of my thyroid. Because of all the growths on it. And I do agree that doing research online is a good idea, and that is one reason I did not go back to my last thyroid doctor he just wanted to do surgury when that is not needed most of the time....

i still think pneumonia isn't the end of everything you know.. you just have to live a healthy lifestyle and follow what the doctors tell you and you can be back in full shape.. but is still kinda susceptible to the recurrence of the disease.. i think it's about time to change your habits and so you can achieve your full potential.. but no matter how healthy you can get our health fades away in time... you cannot be 70 with the health of a 35 y.o. you just have to be healthy for your own age group...

I think the important thing here is we must think that we can and feel positive each day you wake up! I also have this kind of things happen. I hope that we all can have much more healthier body and keep fit. Do exercise even you have 5/10 mins a day. I like to garden and walk with my baby after work. And, we also pray to God that we have good and better health when we still alive! :) have a nice day !

Exercise is a good idea I think that helps to keep people healthy. And a garden is a good thing to have. Maybe when we move we will have a garden, here we can not.

During my first year in college I was unhappy.I just stay in my room after class and stay sad.I was new in that place where I enrolled and its far from my family. So many adjustments I made.I cried everynight cause I'm feeling homesick.Dont like the place cause its too hot.I'm health before but wondering why when i get there, I always had fever and colds.I consult the doctor she found out that i have pnemonia. I was medicated for more than a week. The doctor adviced me to have a complete rest and take all his prescriptions but still I noticed that no matter how I drink the medicines still I'm not getting well, till I feel I'm tired of staying at home so I returned back to class and during weekends I tried to unwind.I Went to beach and enjoyed my self.I hung out with my friends just to try to be happy and pretend that I'm healthy.I forget my sickness and manage to laugh and smile though I'm not feeling well. When I get home I forced my self to eat vegetables that I hated most.I wake up early in the morning and exercise and expose my self to the heat of the sun for just few minutes every morning. Not so long since I started doing all those things I just noticed that I'm OK now.I get another check up to make sure I'm pysically fit now. From there I realised that to be healthy physically is to have a healthy life also and its true that stress, over fatigues and sadness can cause us sickness. So my advice to you is handle problems well.Dont let it ruin yourself.Go out and spend the day with your friends sometimes. Manage to smile though you're not ok.Think Positive and dont just sitdown thinking of the problems over and over.Stand and think of a good solution instead. May things will get better for you..Get well Soon.DOnt worry pnemonia is curable.:) GOdbless!

I had pretty poor health, even though I am young, and mannaged to put myself back in line. I am helping others to do so since, with great success. I can help you, if you wish. Contact me via skype (Drizzt99) or PM me. Anyway, I hope you'd be feeling better soon.

What kind of health problems did you have were they just minor things like me or more serious. I know that the small problems I have could probably be fixed if I could do the things I need to do. Such as exercising, and eating right, and take medicine for the hormonal problems I have. Anyway, thanks I am feeling better today, I was having a very bad day yesterday.

Hi there - very sorry to hear you have had bad health. My suggestion would be to examine your diet first of all. And cut out refined sugars and hydrogenated/trans fats as much as possible (I don't know many who have manaaged to eliminate these completely). Then add as much whole foods (fruit, barely cooked vegetables, nuts, food in its most natural form). Eat lots and lots of garlic, ginger as these both help the immune system and cut down on meat and dairy. If you must eat meat, let it be organic and free range. I think if you stick as close to this as possible you will feel better. If you could also isolate factors in your life which may be upsetting you mentally, this could also help with your physical health. I have had episodes of bad health on and off, but am basically physically healthy. I believe stress and bad diet are what causes a lot of, including my own, health issues - we all have responsibility for our own health.

I'm glad to hear that you are feeling better and I hope the trend continues for you. I've actually been experiencing several of the problems that you are describing and so have several people I know. I almost wonder if this is some dangerous new disease that is spreading around. I've had west nile virus, have you?

I myself have been struggling with health issues for 7 years. I ended up depressed and had a feeling that it was never going to get better than this. It is hard to stay upbeat when your feeling bad and in pain. I know. I recently have decided to change things in my life. I started doing more, going out more, got a part time job and I sell avon. It really has helped. I think putting my energies into something else has given me the motivation to get on with my life and fight back against illness. So far I have many more good days than bad. I feel my life is going in a much better direction. I also feel that God has helped me through this and truly has the power to heal. Have faith and put your energy into doing things for you. Positive things that will take energy from being sick. You can turn it around. I feel I am. Be sure to stay up to date with your doctors and have faith.
