Do you procrastinate?

I'm a horrible procrastinator. But, that being said I also work best under pressure (ok, sometimes) so often it's simply because I know I WILL get something done and just keep putting it off. Do you procrastinate often?

I think about it later and give you an answer when I get around to it. Actually I am one of those people who, as a student, would pull my all nighter two weeks before my term paper was due.

someone might think i was totally manic when it comes to this topic. I procrastinate to the point where its DO OR DIE! lol not always but sometimes. example, i will leave all the cleaning in the entire apartment so long, i'll tidey, but it'll need a massive cleaning! instead of cleaning one room a day, i'll leave it all till one day and then just go CRAZY! yesterday i did the bathroom and kitchen, i cleaned EVERY INCH!! with bleach lol. i guess now is the time, with the spring cleaning and all :) The walls are white again!! its a miracle!!

LOL... I will do that sometimes too. I tend to actually do really, really well when I do procrastinate, especially when I wait until the last minute on my work that has to be turned in. I will say though that it's a lot less stressful to just do it while you still have time! You'd think I'd learn! LOL

Yes I do- Like right now I should be finishing up month-end closing- But I’m here answering this discussion- I’ll get to it soon- (I have to I’m at work) lol.. I procrastinate at home too- I try not to but time just slips on by! I work great under pressure also- I’d rather have so much to do that my days go quick here at work- So if I keep putting enough off then it will happen!

Unfortunately I still procrastinate quite a bit. I am trying to "taper" down. I have been telling myself to start walking again in the mornings after CJ gets on bus but I always seem to talk myself out of it or say I'll start tomorrow. I'm proud to say, though, that I did start my walking regime last Sunday and have stuck with it everyday so far. I feel a difference in my body and how I feel already! But I do have a back room that was suppose to have been cleaned out; boxes unpacked and items thrown out, etc. Been like that now going on 3 years in December...LOL

Only when I can't put it off!!!LOL....Seriously I am a huge procrastinator but like you sometimes feel like it is more about how I know I will perform under pressure!..Like right now I should be finishing a hat to wear to the KY Derby breakfast ( not the official one..one with my coworkers..they honor it every year since I am from Ky)..and instead of doing that I am on myLot...then there is the whole getting ready for work thing that I also need to do..so as I procrastinate both of these things, I type a response about procrastinating!

Yup, I do procrastinate at times, especially when I was in high school, college, and even as a professional, I'd like to put off things to be done especially if they are unfavorable, least interesting than watching TV, or because the book I'm reading is simply too unputdownable! This has been the cause of trouble sometimes and way back in college, I had to work double time because the deadline is just a few hours away. Why? Because I procrastinated. . In Filipino, this is called the mañana habit of putting off what one can do today to tomorrow.. .Mind you it's not a good habit, and it has to be cut. . .I am struggling to get out of that vicious habit. . .

I am a horrible procrastinator also, I used to think it was my horoscope sign until I met my boyfriend whose birthday is 2 days after mine and he is not half as bad as I am. I think I enjoy the stress of waiting til the last moment to do things, I always kick myself for doing it, but yet I continue, the worse part was every year at New Year's I used to do a New Year's Resolution that I would not procrastinate as much, never worked, so I stopped making New Year's Resolutions, now I just try to not procrastinate everyday, easier that way.

Oh yes I procrastinate, if I didn't I might have answered this a couple of hours ago :) Actually I posted elsewhere and did other email but I knew I'd get to this one eventually. In reality though some things I will put off to the very last second where as other things I want to get it done and out of the way. Perhaps I just don't want to deal with it so if it's done I don't have to worry again. It's the things I have to do a lot that I procrastinate over; like doing the dishes or laundry. I'll push those off as long as I can.

Oh no, I am not. I hate cramming, I've this urge to get something done right away so I could see the results. I just can't be in peace if I know I have work left to do. Say it's the beggining of the week and I can submit my report to work until Friday, I would try to submit my reprot sooner than Friday, infact I'd be itching to finish my report as early as possible. My hubby is like you, but he's probably more horrible than you are. This is actually something we argue about because we're opposites.

It is said that procrastination is the thief of time. Oh how very true this is. I have been known to put off the unpleasant or the inevitable but sooner or later I have to face up to things and get them done or look the problems in the face. I know I should deal with things but, sometimes, I just can't face up to them.
