My son copies everything my husband does, which is cute, but can be embarrasing at times. My hubby is constantly smacking me on the butt when he walks by, just playing around, and my son has picked up that bad habit. And now, my almost three year old has called me babe, sweetheart, sweetie etc. It's cute but I have to stop myself from laughing, b/c I don't want to encourage him. Have you ever been embarrased by your children copying something from someone else?

Your story made me laugh! I don't have kids yet, but the BF and I are constantly trying to sneak swats on each other. I can just imagine if we had a kid, he'd be doing the same thing.

I am so glad to here you tell that story. I thought I was the only mother with a toddler that would smack my butt on his way by and say "see-ya honey". Mostly I have to turn around and laugh silently because, like you, I don't want to encourage the behaviour. He sees it all the time though and I highly doubt that my husband is going to stop swatting me on the way by at this point in our relationship. :) I just worry that people will see him do it and think that I spank him.

Yes, I always wonder what people will think if they see my son smack my butt. I suppose it's good for him to see how much his daddy loves his mommy, but I think I would be mortified if he did it in front of a lot of people .Thankfully he hasn't done that yet, just in front of family, and that was bad enough! (:

Are you kidding? We live to embarass each other. They embarass me the most when they are copying something I do in front of people they shouldn't. They know I will get my revenge in the end, but they can't seem to resist.
