These verses give me hope: "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end." - Jeremiah 29:11 KJV "...let the weak say, I am strong." - Joel 3:10 KJV

My favorite verse is "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." Philippians 4:13 I also like the one that says we shall mount up on wings like eagles we shall run and not grow weary. Isaiah 40:31 I think it is. Thanks you for asking.

I love these verses, because they remind of the great future to this planet and that there is a solution for the problems, Psalm 37: 10 And just a little while longer, and the wicked one will be no more; And you will certainly give attention to his place, and he will not be. 11 But the meek ones themselves will possess the earth, And they will indeed find their exquisite delight in the abundance of peace... -- 29 The righteous themselves will possess the earth, And they will reside forever upon it.

I hope you have a good virus program so that last problem will stay away. I think we all have to try and clean up our mind from a lot of bad stuff that we have experienced. Training in positive thinking will help and sometimes we need something that reminds us every day of something we can be greatful for. I have some beautiful stones on the table to remind me and it really helps. After all, if we concentrate on good things, our mind cannot think of two things at the same time and in that way we feel much better. Here are a couple of really comforting verses and what we can concetrate on to keep our mind on positive level: Philippians chapter 4: 6 Do not be anxious over anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication along with thanksgiving let YOUR petitions be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God that excels all thought will guard YOUR hearts and YOUR mental powers by means of Christ Jesus. 8 Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are of serious concern, whatever things are righteous, whatever things are chaste, whatever things are lovable, whatever things are well spoken of, whatever virtue there is and whatever praiseworthy thing there is, continue considering these things. 9 The things that YOU learned as well as accepted and heard and saw in connection with me, practice these; and the God of peace will be with you.

Oh, and my laptop just got hit with a very severe virus, and yesterday it got so bad that I had no other option but to completely wipe the hard drive clean and re-download and re-install literally everything all over again, from scratch. I am exhausted and a bit peeved, to say the least. I am still re-downloading and re-installing, even as we speak.

I think I would choose something from the Apocalypse, chapters 12 or 13, I love them. For liftig my spirit I think I rather would choose the verses about the pregnat woman that start the chapter: "12:1And a great sign was seen in heaven: a woman arrayed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars; 12:2 and she was the child; and she cried out, travailing in birth, and in pain to be delivered." I don't know why this beautiful verses are not so well known in day to day christian life...

I love Psalm 42:12, it goes like this: "Why are you so downcast, my soul, why groan within me? Hope in God, for I will praise Him still, my savior and my God." it always lift my spirit and my heart.

Sorry about the debate but I do have a verse, one of my favorites. Philippians 4:6,7 "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." Also I read the book of Job. It's an amazing book and one of my favorites as well when you're feeling down.

Thanks. :-) I like Job, too. It helps me to put everything into perspective, and helps me to think that perhaps there is a lot more going on behind the scenes than we might realize. God always has His reasons, His purposes, and His plans. Philipians 4:6-7 are good verses, as well.
