When you look into the mirror, what do you see looking back at you? I don't mean your mom or your dad or anything like that. I mean do you see peace? Contentment? Satisfaction? Anger? Sorrow? What do you see looking back at you when you look into the mirror? Why?

Wow great question. I am proud to say, that today, when i look in the mirror, i see a happy, healthy, funny loving, and finally at peace with me woman. Lord it took me some times to get here, and i am so blessed and sooooooooo GRATEFUL that i have found that face in the mirror!!

I was always scared to take a good look, because it was always the same result. I would see a man in serach of himself, at the age of 35 I believed that image would have gone away by now, however it's still there. It's a everyday struggle between being who you feel you should be an being what society dictates you should. I stand strong a remain committed to being my true self. Hmmmmmmmm, whoever that maybe:-( Truly great Question:-)

Thanks Stiffler, When you can stand before yourself like that and give yourself a smile of approval, like what is looking back at you, from all angels, you reach a certain penachle of life. Sweetheart, at the age of 35 I had little idea who I even thought I was. Soon to be 57, I still sometimes wonder if being who I feel I am versus who I should be will ever really meet, but I keep hoping. Learning to accept who is really looking back at you is an awesome leap from childhood to maturity. It's vital that we learn to be comfortable with who and what we are. If we can't enjoy that, how can anyone else. It makes us appreciate ourselves more that we can appreciate those around us more. Awesome, ain't it?

I see peace most of the time when I look in the mirror. I do not see much satisfaction though because I know I'm not where I should be in God and doing what He has placed in my heart to do. I need to learn and be steady in God and keep my thoughts continually on Him.

Every day is a lesson and a blessing. We learn to be faithful in the little things first. Stand firm in the faith and know from whence you came. It's a daily struggle to be everything we can be. I'm not there either, but I, like you, am working on it, and that's the important thing. Each day, in every way, we are getting stronger and closer to Him. Be blessed honey. The light is getting is brighter.
