For me it is easy accessibility to games, and I can play against opponents from all over the world whenever I want. Also, many of them are either free or cheap, and there is a huge variety of games online.

Here where iam from most gamers forgot that there is still a real world outside they play onlines games like theres no tomorrow most people play like 24 hours a day infact a friend of mine was sent to the hospital cos he passed out due to over playing he plays 24 hours in 1 week. so this it makes me confused why do they gamble there health for the games they played online.

With online game playing it is very easy to lose all track of time and get so engrossed in the game that you forget everything else.
I try to only play for a certain amount of time, and then I get up and do other things for a while and go back to it later.
It can also be VERY addicting.
I doubt if he meant to gamble his health away. He could be addicted.
