myLot is immortal

Yes it is immortal and it never sleeps. Around 24 hours, nearly 90,000 users login to share their feelings and discussions. It is really very very cool to think of it. Yes, I think that myLot has reached the immortality range, since it has already crossed the 100,000 population in the last month. But one thing I may say that persons enlisted in myLot site are not totally active! Perhaps only 25% of the total population of myLot are regular working and rest a major % are inactive! In this aspect myLot must develop a discipline guideline for activity for posting atleast five discusions and five responses by a participant in a month. Otherwise inactive membership is a matter of loss of real human resources! Hope, things will develop in near future. Thanks for this discussion.

I guess you're right about that. Since that as time goes by more and more users are joining this site and since that mylot is honest on how they pay their users it is really a great deal.

MyLot is the only take and post website that is designed for everyone, not just for teenagers or kids or a specific group. We do get paid for it and that is another benefit. I think it will be on for a long time. The only thing that worries me are those who report people just because they disagree with them, and when one does that, the quality of discussions go down because people get afraid of posting controversial subjects. Also the fact that we have nicknames and do not let others know our true name, address, telephone number, the directions how to ge to our house, etc. makes it easy to discuss things we could not say to others.

You might be right. It does seem infectious and quite popular. However, the owners of the site can shut it down at any time. They could not pay for the domain registration, or delete the database, and kill the whole project. So there is no guarantee it will stay.

It will probably be around for some time, but how do you know how many actual users there are? I don't think you can go by the population number given on the lower left since a lot of them have just signed up but never actually use it. For instance I have 10 referrals who have signed up but none of them are active and have not been back since they signed up.

I hope it stays around for a long long time, it's a great website where we can make many friends.
