Do you go only when your cat is sick or do you go to routine checks every year ...month I don't know. In 5 years I went only once to the vet , because my cat had some fur problems and the situation was getting critical.

My cats are only 10 months old. I think that I will be going for routine check ups. I don't know if that is once a year or not but whatever it is that is what we will be doing.

We never took our cats to the vet. We lived in this tiny town and our cats were always outside cats. I do however take my dog to the vet for all her shots when she needs them.

Outside cats can really take care for themselves , how do your pets get along one with each other ?

My inlaws have several outside cats (most were strays), but they've all had their shots and have been neutered. Especially outside cats need their shots more than indoor cats.

I try to just go to the vet once a year for a rabbies shot, since my cats are indoor cats and declawed they rarely get sick since they are not exposed to other animals.

I go to the veterinary twice a year in order to vaccinate my pet. Fur problems, we had to resolve them last year, but they were so simple to solve that this year the veterinary gave his advices over the phone.

If I could only have the same vet as you .I remember that I called the vet once for some advice but ....he couldn't speak on the phone :)) so I had to pay him a visit. Anyway the results were good because I solved my problems. Thanks for your response opinione !

Once a year for annual checkups, then only if they are sick. It's so darn expensive! Plus my cats are complete freaks about going to the vet. It truly is a big, stressful ordeal when we have to take them to the vet. But I know it's worth it to keep them healthy!

We usually only go if we've noticed a change in behaviour or if our cat is sick. He's almost an adult now, but when he was a kitten we had to take him a couple of times for shots and to neuter him.
