Canada has a new gold coin. Not just any gold coin mind you, but one that weighs 100kg and is nearly 21 inches across! The Royal Canadian Mint announced that they will only produce 10 of them and that they've sold 3 of them within 3 hours of introducing the coin. It takes 6 weeks to make one coin and has a face value of $1 million Canadian. Their reasoning for making the huge coin? They want to have the bragging rights for the world's largest purest gold coin.

That would be a robbery waiting to happen if they made more than 10 of them: Dude walks down the street carrying his giant coin and a mugger comes along grabbing it with ease and takes off running. So, what if one of these millionaires decides he wants to buy his next big estate with one of these? They'd have to take it because it is legal. I guess it's the easiest way to take a million dollars to the bank.

I don't think he could lug it down the street or have to worry about being mugged unless the thief was Superman - the coin weighs 220 pounds. LOL

Yeah, I heard about that too, and I didn't believe it. Some people are crazy!!! I could think of much better things to do with a few million dollars than that. Also, with all that gold, I'd probably just melt the damn thing down and make it into smaller things and sell those to people at twice the cost, and make $3 million profit!
