recently, i've been thinking of going back to school to finish my studies..but the problem is no one would take care of my baby..she's only a year and 7mos. old and i feel it's hard being away with her all day..another thing is that i don't know if my finances could both support my baby and my studies.. sigh..i just really really want to go back to school..i think it's my obsession..and to think that my brain is stagnate and unused, really bothers me..i feel like i'm getting stupid everyday..lol..but seriously,i just like to finish my studies so that i could find better job opportunities..it is for my baby's future you know...and i would like to put into use my GOD-given intelligence (if ever i have that..lol)..so what do you think i should do?share your thoughts please!!

Hello, akinad.Don't worry about it.Now your baby is young, she needs mother .You can study by yourself for a short time.If you now go back to school ,it also needs you have good ability that learning by yourself. You can read books which you are intrested and watch veidos which you prepare to learn.when your child grow up enough ,you can go to enrich your knowledge.Wish you solve the problem.

Maybe go part time if you feel that strongly about going back to finish. Its better to do it a little at a time than not to do it at all. Dont you have any family members near by or a girlfriend you really trust? Sit down and write out a list of everythign that is keeping you from going back than write out what you might be able to do to change those things. It always helps me to stay focussed when I write things down, it seems like new ideas just start popping out of my head on how I can fix things.

Hi akinad it is always good thing to finish one's education as it helps to improve one's career prospects if one can manage time and money for the purpose. As you have a small baby why don't you go for distance education or online education. There might be some reputed courss on offer which might enhance your career prospects and you can simultaneoulsy take care of your baby too. As continous learning is good thing otherwise our brains go to sleep. lol. good luck. have a nice day.:)

i like your attitude!...a lot of people who are in the same situation as you would just depend on the people around them...your plan of studying again isn't bad at all...as a matter of fact, i think you should do it...like what you said it's for you and your baby...but don't forget your responsibility as a mother to your baby...i don't know if you know how hard it is to raise a child especially in the situation your into...your baby needs your love and affection...time management is very important...just make sure when you make your decision..you won't regret anything in the future...it's a bit risky...goood luck...

Hello, akinad,i think it is always good to study and improve yourself if you can afford the time and money to do so,not only you can get a better qualification for you future career, you can also get more knowledges in something you like. Life is a process of continous learning and it is a good thing to keep improving your self. If your finace supports you, you should go for the study. Good luck then.

I know studying can be expensive but have you considered studying by correspondence? Here in Australia there are heaps of reputable courses you can do at home & everything gets sent out to you. You pay an amount per month to cover your course & it works out cheaper than paying for your courses up front & if you put a small amount away per week then it makes it easier again. Do you not get government assistance of any kind for your child? I'm not sure how different it is there but here even with my partner working, i get an amount of money from the government to go towards all the things my daughter needs - it's not a lot but it doesn't really need to be :) I think the maximum a married/defacto mother can get is about $260 a fortnight (every other week). Maybe have a chat with your partner & have the 2 of you sit down & go over your finances (coz i know there are every day bills, plus rent or a mortgage etc) so you can work out if you can afford to do it. I believe studying is very important for if you want to have a career after being a 24/7 mother - i wish you well with going back to study. Good Luck!
