putting words in my mouth

You know the saying "putting words in my mouth", well I've seen it happen here, "You stated as if"...What do you do when you get a comment or response like this? Do you correct them, call them out on it? Sometimes people assume that you meant this or that by a few words and they nit pick at it, it's freaking ridiculous!

I have seen that happen here a few times...myself, only a couple of times....if it really hurts my feelings, I ignore it...no sense in arguing BUT if someone clearly does not understand what I was saying..I will usually try to rephrase it so that they do.
