I am a huge fan of good old fashioned homemade chicken soup. Boil the chicken, add noodles, carrots, celery, onions and pepper. I love it. Here is a recipe I picked up from somewhere that uses ginger to help heal. I have had it only once, but it was pretty good from what I remember. You place a package of oxtails (with the meat) in a bowl of cold water for about an hour or so to get rid of the excess blood. Then boil the tails in clean water in a very large pot with a small chunk of giner root. I would say about 1.5 gallons of water. Boil them for 6-8 hours making sure to keep about a gallon of liquid in the pot at all times. Also, use a spoon to get the oil off the top of the water while cooking. It will be a cream color when it is finished. Then serve the soup with some green onions and salt and pepper.

You don't have to make it. If you are too sick to go out, have someone order a qt. of hot and sour soup from a chinese restaurant to clear nasal passages and sinuses. For good old fashion vitamin intake (if you are not just trying to clear congestion). Old fashioned chicken soup is the best. Just stick a whole chicken in a large soup pot filled with water and chunks of carrots, celery and onions salt and pepper until the chicken falls off the bone. Add egg noodles at the end until they are al dente.

In our highly hectic modern lives we've forgotten so many excellent traditional techniques for making highly nutririous and wonderfully delicious foods and so cheaply too. the most fundamental of these traditions is the making of the soup. Soup is surely the queen of foods.Wonderfully comforting and nourishing soup is our balm, it fortifies the body , soothes sore throat, clears clogged airways, fights of colds, build strong bones and has even been to improve your love life. its reputation as a health giving elixir is so well known that chicken soup is often called Jewish Pencilin. The chinese having been treating illeness from centuries by soups only. in UK beef tea has an ancient reputation for healing . DOnt take my writing as a lecture my friend, if feel this so i have written it. people in todays time are mad after fast food and instant noodles. this is not good to eat.it damages your immunity levels. Soup is a very nice , healthy, and nutritious thing to have , infact you should take it daily. in cold chicken soup is the best for your health.the foundation of all the good soups is their stock. Stocks are extremely nutritious; the slow simmering extracts the minerals of bone marrow and vegetables as electrolytes. Stock in itself is very nutritious as i have said earlier and very easy to digest. Chicken soup is knwn as the fav. healing soup all over the world. it helps a lot in colds and flu. This soup has anti-inflammatory properties that helped sore throats and in the movement of mucus. Soups are not just delicious , they are comforting and warming in the winter and cooling and refreshing in the summer.they are a thing of beauty to behold and a joy to the taste buds , so they are always good for you. i think i have helped you more than all what you wanted.

You can take tomato soup. Boil some tomatoes in water, (use required amount of water like 1 cup for you) then add salt, pepper and some tulsi leaves. Then let it boil for a minute. Then smash the tomatoes when they near to boiling point. Then close the stove and filter the mix into a cup. You are ready with a delicious mouth watering soup
