Do you think they are going to be a good collectable or are they just going to worth the gold content only? Let me know!!

Can you refer to an article or provide a link? The only reference I could find was in the House of Reps proposal in 2004 for a first lady series. Is this what you were referring to? I wouldn't see the interest in the series being too high, unless the gold coins were of lower value...$5 type. Then again, it all depends on the rarity.

Yes, that is what I am refering to. They are going to make them $10 gold coins. 10,000 for proofs and 10,000 for uncirculated for each coin. I was just wondering if these would be a good investing occasion. www.usactivedutymilitary.blogspot.com

Thats a tough one. A $10 gold coin is somewhat expensive, that means the mintage will be low. The topic shouldn't stir the hobby, so that will bring the total mintage even lower (after the initial rush). So where does that leave the buyer? IMHO, the modern commems that really do well in the aftermarket have a good theme, and have low mintages. I see this series having one of the two. If they go through the whole series of First Ladies, then the key of the set would definitely be worth the money. But you won't know that until after you can't buy the coins from the mint. For rarity, I'd go with Mrs Buchannan. Why? few remember the husband lol

Well, I personally think they may worth a bunch of money. I think they may be a collector item. However, how much, I do not know.
