Do you YAWN open muthed or put your hand in front of your MOUTH?

Ok, he came out of the class just as the last period's bell rang. Started yawning open mothed in front of everyone. And bloah such disgusting and ill-mannered thing done by him. I couldn't stand it and moved on ahead out of the school, with my friends.
Mostly, I don't yawn open mouthed usually, no I can almost everytime I yawn I put my hand in front so that it doesn't look like I'm ill-mannered or from the 5000 B.C civilization.
Do you yawn open mouthed or put your hand in front of your mouth when you yawn???

I always put my hand in front of my mouth when I yawn. I think it's quite rude when you yawn open mouthed!
Besides that, people look ugly when they yawn! :)

When i'm in public or in a circle of friends, i put my hand in front of my mouth and i try to yawn as discrete as i can.
However, when i'm all by myself i yawn wide open, without covering my mouth.

I don't want to see down your throat!
It is bad enough when one person does it but then it sets everyone else yawning and you are then surrounded by gaping mouths like so many chicks in a nest. haha

It's habit for me to put my hand in front of my mouth when I yawn. There have been very few times that I haven't put my hand in front of my mouth, but that was when I was here alone in the house and no one else could see me.
Though I don't get offended when someone doesn't put their hands over their mouths when they yawn. Sometimes they can sneak up on us, and not only that it's a natural thing the body does, and I really don't make it a thing to be overly critical of other people.

I cup my hand over my mouth - unless I am home alone, then I do not always bother to. I think the inside of the mouth is an ugly thing and should not be shown to others, especially wide open like when you yawn...unless of course you are at the doctor office and he would like to see inside your mouth - then there is no need for shame.

normally, no one among us will expose the insides of our mouth for no reason. so whenever we are not inside the house, we cover our mouths when we yawn. inside the house we do yawn while we are doing some body stretching like raising our hands. this is different, it is an exercising thing that we are undertaking.

Sometimes, I know that I get caught without covering my mouth. I try to cover myself all the time, but there are times when I don't get to it before I yawn...
Also, I have this funny habit I picked up when I would try to annoy my friends in high school. I would actually say the word of what I was doing... i.e. I would say "sneeze" when I sneezed, or "yawn" when I yawned. lol. Sad, I know.

it is customary for us to cover our mouth whenever we yawn. after all, everybody knows that he is about to yawn before getting into the act. so there is no excuse here at all. if you still see others yawning without covering their mouths, tell those whom you know that anything can get in while they are yawning if the mouth is not covered. that will put to a stop the habit which you want to be eliminated from around you.

If I have to yawn in front of people, it is definitely with my hand covering my mouth. This is part of good manners, my friend. It is quite rude to yawn "open mouthed".

nobody yawns with his mouth closed. my mouth is usually open when i yawn but i put my hand in front of it as part of good manners. it's just awkward and disgusting when i see someone yawning with open mouth.

when im in public, i cover my mouth with handkerchief or just my hands when i yawn because for me it's embarrassing when you yawn in public without covering your mouth... when im alone like in my room, sometimes i don't cover my mouth anymore hehehe.

I always put a hand on my mouth while yawning. There are quite a few reasons for that:
1. i dont want everyone to peep into my mouth and see what I have eaten.
2. i donna want to irritate people with the sound.
3. Its hygenic for others.
4. It prevents insects from entering my mouth.
5. And its socially acceptable.

I yawn with my mouth open when there is no one around, but when there are people around, I put my hand over my mouth and then yawn.

When I'm in public, I'll always put my hands in front of mouth if I had to yawn. It'll be really rude if I didn't do so and I don't want to risk offending other people.
However, in private, I'd have no qualms yawning without covering my mouth since there's no one who'll be seeing me do this anyway.

If I am at home by myself I will yawn with my mouth uncovered but if I am somewhere else out in public I will always cover my mouth so people won't think I am being rude.

Well.. I yawn open-mouthed when I am alone or at home. You just have to have that kind of free thing once in awhile. And when in public of course one could be decent enough to cover his/her mouth with a kerchief or his/her hand.

of course cover my mouth, yawning creates funny faces and i don't wanna be embarassed so i cover my mouth to show some manners,and everytime you yawn with your mouth open wide,all the germs and bacteria can go through and i don't want that. Another thing is,what if you feel like your breath is kinda funky and you yawn without covering your mouth and there's a person in front of you,that's really embarassing!
