Do you look forward to each new day?

Do you look forward to each new day? - A picture of a sun.

I was standing in front of the mirror flossing my teeth. I looked at myself and noted that I was still as handsome as yesterday. But what use is that? It is not as if I am working for some social escort agencies. My mind roamed to what I did today. Pretty as much as my nihilist philosophy sums up. Nothing. I tried to be a part-time prophet and see what I would do tomorrow. Still nothing. The future stems from the present which blossomed from the past. If you did nothing, do nothing, and will do nothing, does it mean something? Do you look forward to each new day? So much so that you eagerly go to bed, ready for the new day to unfold as soon as you wake? Or do you hold on to every shred of tonight's darkness, hoping that tomorrow will not come too soon? Or do you live day to day, thinking nothing of yesterday or tomorrow, but only of today? Or... ? Do share your thoughts - humans, elves, trolls and all.

I look forward to getting up in the morning. I have little trouble letting the end of the day go and falling to sleep. I would rather live in the present moment and not be stuck dwelling on the past or dreading the future. You can think about what you want to do for tomorrow. If you take no actions during the day, not much will change. And if things do change, you have lost any control over them. By thinking in a certain way, expressing the related feelings and taking some action, you can create the future days for yourself. What you are doing in this moment will determine what happens tomorrow. If you need an answer as to what to do, ask for one and be still. In that stillness will come ideas and ultimately your answer.

When I wake up every morning, I treat it as a new beginning, a new day and a new life. Like the old saying " Today is the Tomorrow, You didnt plan for Yesterday."

This mentality is good because you are not burdened by the problems of yesterday. But do you plan for the future?

I do a bit of both to be honest. Some days I am in bed by 10pm... other days I do not go to bed till about 5am lol... it all depends on what I have done and what I havent. If I have been prety busy I find that I actually stay up longer than those days I don't do anything. I wouldn't say I eagerly go to bed ever - sometimes I kind of fall up the stairs and crash into bed. Other days I do go to bed quite quickly but then I lay in the dark staring at what part of the ceiling has light on it. Usually trying to imagine pictures with the light... Kind of like cloud watching. I think I am one of those people who lives each day by when and how it comes. I tend to think alot of tomorrow and what it may bring but I don't tend to dwell on the past too much. Good discussion warwiz! How do you create such good discussions?? I am very envious lol.

I look forward to each day - so much so that often I wake long before sun-up simply because I'm anxious to see what the new day will bring. New flowers blooming, the sun shining, the blue-jays in the back trees - I never know what little thing will happen to give me a thrill but I look forward to those little things as much or possibly more than the big things.

Its nice to admire ones good looks once in a while.Lol. I do forward to each new day.Not like an excited kid, with loads of anticipation. But ,nonetheless,I do.I look forward to each day,as each day gives me an opportunity to do little more of what i love doing and also teaches a lot in the things that i'm still not good at.Life is made up of each single day and I realise that each day is a gift to me from God.

Share your thoughts, does that include wolves as well ;0) Ok what I look forward to each new day is wondering if the postmas has brought me a nice meaty cheque, a letter telling me I have an interview or even better a job at long last. Emails and messages from my friends in my bursting email box. And don't groan but I always look forward in going to the gym to burn off the frustrations, stress and getting a nice healthy muscular body!

Yes, I do look forward to each new day. I also look forward to seeing each day as a chance to make another positive change somewhere in my own life or someone elses life.. as I love to do good, and help others. So I look forward to reading and signing internet petitions, and I look forward to hanging with my cats and dogs, and look forward to trying to find new ways to earn small cash through the internet to take steps towards independance on my own, by myself. Then I can be proud to say I did it myself, and also help others who are in the similar situations that I am.. To also change their own lives for the better... I mostly look forward to spending time with nature... But I will admit there are times I look forward to Going home to the Spirit world.. when thing seem to be caught in a stagnant puddle of tar. Those days are hard... Thanks, for listening... But I try to fight to remain positive and optimistic, because Good thoughts can bring good things. So I look forward to the wonderful joys, and even hidden opportunities and mysteries in a brand new day. - DNatureofDTrain

No, my dog and cats get along fine. The only time they do not is if they get to close to the young kittens, then the cats will gang up on them and beat them up or chase them away. I have had some cats that refuses to stop chasing the dogs around, so I would catch them and hold them till they calmed down lol... So my dogs mind the Cats really well, they do not have much of a choice as they are out numbered :) . - DNatureofDTrain

I live from day to day but that doesn't stop me thinking about yesterday. I don't very often think towards tomorrow because that is the unknown. Who can tell what might spring up in your tomorrows? Nevertheless, I welcome each new day. I open the curtains and gaze out on the countryside and the beauty of all that is nature, with a glimmer of hope for what the new day has brought for me. Brightest Blessings for a happy new day! :-)

i never really thought of it, but i think though i look forward to every day, it doesn't matter that much to me to go to bed early and excitedly, if you know what i mean. Especially if i'm excited i stay awake for like hours, there's no way i can sleep, but i try and get everything i can done before i go to bed so that when i get up in the morning i can sit back and enjoy the day for a few hours.

thing is, i realize that life can't all be roses and sugar, things happen that no one can do anything about, and that causes me to see life for what it really is. It's like school. You Live, learn, and move on. I guess that's why i don't get so crazily excited, because i know that even if you do have something major to look forward to, it'll be over in a day anyway. Most of the time. Everything that i do look forward to, i don't get too crazy excited, because usually when i do, it doesn't happen, and when i don't, is when it's even better. So i've learned to go through life happily, in a relaxed nature, not rushing things, just stopping to see all the beauty of this earth, in people, and in life, that way when my time here is up, i don't have any regrets. Because i took time out of each day to enjoy everything possible. Sorry there wasn't much to my response, i couldn't remember one word from the last, and i couldn't make a whole sentence yesterday without forgetting where i was or what i was saying. Ugh.. Sometimes, i think I'm losing my mind. This is a great discussion by the way. Gotta go, i think my friend might be taking my smokes, NO Their Mine!!!

I kinda dread each new day because it means i get another day older. I know eventually i will be old old old. So I kinda wish time would stand still for me ;) But when you get to be over 40 you start thinking about these kinda things. When your a spring chicken like your self. you have no worries about being old. stay young as long as you can.

I am beginning to understand my affinity for you, baby. You are in that stages of life similar to what my guy best friend went through before. My best friend is a model, too handsome and a perfect 10 to look at. He cried in my shoulder and pour out his problems since we're 7 years old. For that, I realized he is still an ordinary human being packed in an attractive package and yet when you open it, there is nothing in there. Its empty. The only way that he was able to come back and face the real world was when he started to slowly pick up his life by himself. Having a friend like me is not enough, he should also help himself. As the saying goes, "two are better off than one, because together they can work more effectively. If one of them falls down, the other can help him up." I can be there anytime if he needed me. Do you understand what I'm saying here, baby. I tried to greet each day with as much enthusiasm as I like to. The problem is still there. The shadow of fear is still there. I look in the mirror and yet I can't see any single flaws. I planted all my flaws deep inside of me. Today, I woke up feeling a little better. When I logged in at mylot, I saw an alert message from mylot. When I read the message, I told myself, what a wonderful way to greet my day. Another problem, another tears.

Well I'm not exactly one to leap out of bed with a song in my heart...I'm a very slow, grumpy riser...hehhe..while I do try to live each day as it comes, I do have my plans of how I want my future to be...and definitely much better than it is now...so yes, I do make and have plans for the morrow..of what I can do THIS day to bring me one step closer to my goals for the kind of life I would like to have....Of course I do reflect on my past and what I could have or should have done differently--I'm getting better at not living too much in the past and the regrets and really wrong choices I had made...what's done is done...so I move on...and try for a better tomorrow..today!

our attitude in life changes with age. when i was younger, each new day is another day of adventure. now, it is far more different. just as you have pointed out, it is now a new day to look forward to for the plans that have been mapped out in the past. we tend to see how much closer we are to the realization of these plans. these attitude makes each new day a day to look forward to, to be able to size up how much more have we inched closer to that goal after each day of struggle, after each new day that comes.

Yes i look forward to each new day. When i get up in the morning, i think that i should do all my works as per my plan. I wish to gain as much knowledge as i can. I also think that i should not spent the time without any use. What are the challenges are possible to occur on that day. How i can help others on that day. These are things that will run in my mind, when i get up from the bed

for me, every new day is a day to look forward to. there is always something new on each day to come into our lives. a new day to keep on living and loving my kids. a new day to pursue the struggle that i have endeavoured. a new day which makes my plans come nearer to their realization. although, setbacks are common in my life and these will cause some heartaches and disappointments, each new day that comes is a new day of hope for me.

While I do not like to see this day end, I do look forward to tomorrow. A second chance to do things right. If you do nothing, have done nothing, and look forward to nothing - it sounds like you will become "no thing". Though I do not believe that is possible, as I firmly believe in the immortality of the soul.

There was on time in my life when i dreaded to have to live through another day. But now i look to each new day as a chance to better my life for me and my family. Even if it is just a subtle change it all counts. I have been living day to day to though not worry about tommorrows problems because that only brings you down so deal with what is on your plate for the moment right. I get up in the mornings with great anticipation to what the day could hold for me now. Every day is a great day to be alive!

I used to have a passion and dream that after working for 3 years, i will take one year off for vacation. After work for two years, i just realised that I have more financial burden on my shouders, i am not blaming my family that has spent too much, but i am kind of getting collapse soon knowing every month i gotta pay for this and that and that. And most of the debts are not mine. :( So, i am not looking for new day. The only that i am looking forward is the day i got my pay bank-in.
