Do You Have A Boat?

How many of you have a boat? Do you use it? How often do you go out in it? Do you have any fears of going out in your boat? We have a really nice bass boat. It's red sparkly and matches our red truck. We enjoy our boat and go out on the lake every chance we get. The only thing I ever worry about is my dog falling into the water so I bought him a lifevest. He hates it but I make him wear it. Did you know dogs can get sunburned? I just learned that so I always take a small umbrella that he can sit under. He loves the boat too. What kind of boat do you have?

We have a pontoon boat. We love it. It can be used for fishing,or jus lounging or you can use it for a swim platform. It has a bathroom on it and a cd player. I daughter calls it a party boat.We might not be able to use it as much this summer with the price of gas being so high.

I often see pontoon boats on the lake and think how lucky people that have them must be. Nice that it has a bathroom. We've decided we're not going to let the gas prices concern us when it comes to having fun at the lake. We will just adjust our budget to fit. We spent to much money for our boat to just let it sit. Hope you get out on the lake with your boat and enjoy it.

I have a 13 foot Dell Quay Dory which I am hoping to take out next week for the first time. I bought it on ebay, and on the way back home with it the trailer snapped and the boat got damaged. Hopefully should be finishing the repairs and take her out to sea. The poster that commented about not being able to use their boat much this summer because of gas prices I am assuming is in the US. Pity us in the UK as we have had higher prices than the US forever and to use anything with an engine costs a fortune! I don't care though, boats should be in the water not on the trailer!

Not sure if you can call it a boat, but I have an inflatable kayak that can hold 2 people. I love taking it out to the beach and paddling up and down the shoreline, can't go out too far my wife shouts at me, she gets real worried 'cos it's not a "real" boat. I don't seem to worry too much, it has plenty of flotation compartments so if one goes flat at least I should make it back to shoreline, or worst case scenario, ditch the kayak and swim for it! I would love a proper boat sometime and take it fishing..but expense is the big stopping part of that plan. Maybe one day, if I post enough on Mylot....we can all dream can't we. Really envious of all of you that get to use your boats regularly, wish I could do the same.
