Paris Hilton doesn't think she deserves going to jail

I watched some entertainment show and she said that, here's her quote "I feel that I was treated unfairly and that the sentence is both cruel and unwarranted and I don't deserve this," I don't feel bad for her at all, regular folks go to jail everyday for committing crimes, that's just a fact of life. I know there's probably a billion discussions about her, but I'll contribute another one lol. What do you think, do you think she deserves going to jail? Here's the full story http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070507/ap_en_ce/paris_hilton;_ylt=Ag1XYZm1ECtPxGuqJyw0kOrMWM0F My husband has had a bad driving record back in the day. He called the courts and everyone he could to make sure that his license wasn't suspended any longer before he got behind the wheel-he has brains.

Well that is understandable, Paris Hilton comes from the higher class of people in this world, they have more money than they will need and they are brought up is if the laws of this world do not apply to them, most people with that much money think the same, to them the laws are only to keep us working class people in order so they can have a better life, it would do her good if they put her in with the rest of the prisoners...

I hate that kind of attitude! It's like they're stuck in the 1800s or something, and think just because they have money they are more important and deserve better treatment than the peasants

I think it's about time that Paris Hilton is finally forced to be accountable for her own bad behavior. I do agree with the article though, that 45 days in jail is hardly enough to get her to change her ways. As long as there are people in our society who glamourize her and her stupid antics, she'll keep behaving the way she does. I just thank my lucky stars that my children don't see her as a role model.

She's far from being a role model, it's sad that some people look up to her!

I don't feel sorry for her at all, she did the wrong thing and needs to learn from it. I am really against drink driving anyway, as my husband is partly disabled because of a drunk driver. Besides if they let her get away with it, then what is that going to teach other people? It's telling them that it is ok to commit a crime.

I can't stand this girl, she is so full of it. She is complaining about not knowing that her license was suspended but why isn't she talking about driving drunk, this is what got her into the mess in the first place. She is starting to freak out now thinking about going to prison, well she brought this whole thing upon herself. She has a driver and she should have used him/her when she went out drinking. Snot nose little brat!

So true, she shouldn't complain when she has driven drunk in the first place. I have no tolerance for drinking and driving-there is no reason to do that at all.

Yes, Paris Hilton deserves to go to jail...she still will not experience the same type of jail as the normal person will even if she actually has to go.....she should have been removed from the courtroom and taken into custody immediately...like you or I would have been!!! I think that she believes that she is above the law because of her money...I also think that her mother really showed her a** in the courtroom which did not help her daughter at all either..... The "I did not know" excuse is so much crap!! If the laws are too difficult for her to be able to understand them...then she does not need to have a driver's license at all...or ever again, in my opinion....she just thought that they would not bother her because of her money....there are many other wealthy people who believed that they were above the law who are in jail or have already done their time........ I think that the court system in LA is under alot of pressure to show that they are following the same rules for everyone.

I really can't believe the way her (and her family for that matter) think they are so special and should have everything handed to them! Did you read how her mum burst out laughing when the prosecution recommended jail? How arrogant is that? And when the judge asked if paris had read the letter sent in the mail saying she wasn't allowed to drive, she said 'I have people who do that for me'. So now she's blaming her staff for giving her the incorrect information, it's just ridiculous! She even signed something the first time she got stopped, acknowledging she wasn't allowed to drive...but didn't think the officer was serious! Personally I can't wait until she goes to jail, although I doubt she will learn anything from it, she'll probably just sulk the whole time and feel sorry for herself. And then write a book about how hard her life was lol

I'm not quite sure what's the deal with Paris Hilton, but I do know that celebrities should be treated the same way as 'regular' people. They shouldn't get any special treatment because they are famous. I actually think they should be a bit more strict since they are celebrities and some girls see her as a role model

I think they should go through the same procedures that anyone else would too ;)

It's her own fault, perhaps this will finally slam some sense into her mind and actually be a trigger to start doing something with her life... although I doubt that.

I laughed when I found out she was going to jail. Maybe now this little tramp will learn her lesson. She isn't above the law. I'm just suprised mommy and daddy haven't bailed her out yet....lol
