All my life, I have been told that I am either too sensitive or too emotional. Okay, I am willing to admit that I can be a little sappy at times, but all in all, it has not been too bad. I use to cry a lot more, when I have a much tougher skin now. I still cry over sad movies and things like that, but people use to tell me to get a backbone, I think, I have one now. I will admit though that there are times when I can get a little too emotional, especially when it comes to my family. What unnerves you?

I too am very sensitive and emotional, BUT, who is too say that I am TOO SENSITIVE or TOO EMOTIONAL. It may be that my responses to emotions are somewhat over reactive, or I cry easily--------SO WHAT. I have worked my whole life to be more in control of my responses, not to get rid of the emotions. I now don't respond very quickly, I try to give all things some thought. By not reacting quickly, I can better judge how appropriate my response is to the circumstances.

Im a sensitive person. I think its a weak attitude and I don't like it. I easily cry when there's something bad happen. I easily laugh when there's something funny. My feelings are so obvious all the time, its so difficult to hide it.

I have never considered myself an emotional person but the one thing in my life that stirs up emotions is my sons.

Sad to admit but yes I'm a very emotional and fragile person. I don't like people shouting at me or putting me down. I can put up a fight by shouting back at them but still, I cannot control my tears from streamming down my face. It is always irritating because people and even my family members call me a cry baby. Honestly, I can't cry even when somebody commands me too. Otherwise, I would have been an actress by now. I think that previous sad experiences were bottled up inside me and was not release so even minor things that sets me off emotionally really gets me to shed a tear or two. This is really frustrating for me.

Hi friend, i am not a sensitive person and have the ability to control my emotions. We are the owner of our emotions and we must control them, it is not a good thing to cry in front of others, also we must have a brave heart to face challenges in our life

I am WAY too sensitive! I am highly capable of taking things the wrong way and unintentionally twisting them round so they become a slight against me, when infact, it was just a simple comment. For example, if I put some make-up on my eyes and someone says to me 'Your eyes look amazing tonight....' I would automatically say, 'Oh so you're saying my eyes look horrible any other time though?!'....That's because I have issues though and I'm working on them! I always see the worst in everything almost all the time. But like I just said, I'm trying to change that. However, I don't feel bad about being over-emotional when it comes to things like movies. I have cried many a time at The Green Mile and Forrest Gump! Thanks for sharing!
