Does anyone else have an herb garden? If so what sort of herbs to you have in it? They are very useful plants; they can be used in cooking and to benefit your health. I have mint, sweet basil, cinnamon basil, sage, oregano, parsley, and spearmint started in mine. I want to find some lemon grass but haven't found any yet. I did manage to get some lavender started, though. What about you?

I would love to have a herb garden. I have taken clases in herb preparation and what herbs are good for what health problems and I want to grow my own herbs. I have not gotten to plan any yet. Then I had plans to dry them and bag them and have them to make mixtures for all kinds of things, BUT I haven't gotten there yet. I am still planning on it though.

Herbs are an easy thing to grow, if you don't watch them they will take over and become weeds! You can actually grow an herb garden in containers in the house very easily. You could even plant some in small planters to put in your kitchen windows. Sometimes that is easier than starting an actual outside garden.

I use herbs all over. So I do not have a "herb garden" But I do grow them They are alot like weeds once they get started and they dont like to be fussed with all that much. You can transplant them very easy too, We had a bad winter not sure if my lavendar made it back this year.

I just started mine this spring. We had a pretty harsh winter here too this year, so it is probably a good thing. I am going to spread mine out a little more once our new house is finished, but for right now, they are all together so that they are out of the way.
