Prayers to the Goddess

I like to share these two prayers that I say everyday first thing when I get up.. .I got them from the book, "Goddess Initiation" by Francesca De Grandis
MORNING PRAYER TO THE MOTHER
"Please protect me in my magic and life,
guide my thoughts and deeds,
and give me the power to live life according to
your generous wisdom"
Another wonderful saying from her book is:
"Please give me the growth needed each day to face
whatever challenges the days brings."

Those are beautiful words to start your day with. And very positive too. I, myself am of the Christian beliefs, so if I were to say those, I would have to change a word or two to make it work for me. I checked out the site for the first link and it's very interesting. But the second link didn't work. It brought up a site called The Well, and it didn't sound like what you were talking about. Thank you so much for posting this hon. As I said, the prayers are very beautiful, and they are soothing and calming too.

That is so true. And you know what? I said those prayers this morning after responding here, and they really DID help to relieve the stress I was feeling. Again, thank you for posting those. I am going to print them out and put them where I will see them every day.

The real beauty of prayers of any kind is that you can change the words a bit to make them more personal

I'm not a Wiccan but I have bookmarked the two links you provided. I always love to see poems that are inspirational. The two poems are beautiful. Thanks for sharing, pyewacket.

Yes I like the second one----I think a lot of us who are going through emotional or stressful times this one is VERY valid! ;-)
