define the criteria of a real friend

well, from the beginning of our life,we start making friends,but few of them remain friend for a lifetime.It is more like a travel through time every new destination and partners keep on changing.sometimes we also face mental turmoils from our close friends.Here i would like to know what are the qualities of a real friend and it would be better if anyone can define a real friend......

yeh friends are many in ur life but a true friend is one who trusts u without any condition.
who shares with u every thing.
who can feel u what u want to say without saying anything.
n thats much i can define a best friend.
now my best friends are sandy and bindu, both are part of my life
