Do you cook enough for leftovers? Do you like leftovers?

So when you cook, do you make extra so you can freeze it and eat it again, or have it for lunch the next day? I don't, we are terrible about eating leftovers and they usually sit in the fridge and get gross because we forgot about them. Plus my husband and I aren't big on eating leftovers. What about you? Do you make enough for at least two meals? Do you like leftovers??

Yes I do have leftovers sometimes because sometimes I do not feel like cooking so its convient for me to cook enough for the next day sometimes.

We don't purposely make leftovers. My girlfriend comes from a large size family and she is use to cooking large meals so we wouold always have a lot of leftovers that just sat in the fridge. Now she is getting better about making less and if she does over make on some things she will greeze it so that we can use it in a week or two.

I dont purposefully cook extra, but we do sometimes end up with leftovers. I either pack them in my husbands lunch the next day,or I have them for lunch. I try not to waste food since we are on a tight budget.

I used to make so much food that we would have leftover FOREVER! But, since my hubby passed, I have cut my cooking way down and try just to make what we will eat that day...or maybe 2 days. Unfortunately, we do more eating out too!

Actually the amount of leftovers is dependent on the people who are around to eat it.

always try to cook extra if it’s something I really like- I take leftovers to work for lunch- A lot cheaper than ordering out daily. I also will make extra if the week is a busy one- We’ll grill extra burgers or hot dogs.. And then have them for a quick meal before softball game or practice. I always make big salads—that way the next day I don’t have to make another- I also make lots of chicken each time we have it- we use the leftover for quesadillas, chicken salad, shish ka bobs, etc. So yes most of the time we make extra food- I’m not big on leftovers either—but they have saved a meal many nights- A lot of the time at the end of a week I’ll look in the fridge and go GROSS- and they go to the trash!

I usually try to make enough so we will have leftovers for the next day. I don't really like eating them though, it is more for my husband because he doesn't like cooking ( and when he does he makes a huge mess) so he has something to eat if he wants something and I don't want to cook =) And for my kids if I don't want to make dinner I can just warm something up in the microwave for them =) They don't care!!

yes, I cook for an army but only have a handful of people to feed. I always have leftovers, which tend to be quite helpful in packing dh's lunches for work. no complaints, mostly the food tastes better the second time around anyhow.

I very seldom cook enough for more than one meal because we aren't big on left overs either. Sometimes we will eat them and sometimes not. Now when we go to my mother-in-law's house for a family gathering she will usually send us food home. Most of the time we eat it but sometimes we don't.

not a big fan of leftovers. In fact the only thing i can think of eating left over is pizza. It tastes real yummy if you reheat it in the toaster oven.

We love leftovers in our house. Sometimes we just have them leftover, or I will make a new recipe out of the leftovers. I call them, the dish you will never have again, because I forget to write it down, if we like it. I also do cook extra food to freeze, lile soup, chili etc. I don't like any food to go to waste. I also save quite a bit of money serving leftovers.
