I'm just asking cause it's my grandfather's birthday today. But he's dead about more than a year. WE didn't celebrated it actually but we attended the mass for him.

Like you, my family usually celebrates it with a mass and a little gathering after. We'd have pica-pica's and a few drinks. We'd also leave some candles and incense lighted for 24 hours.

Pica-pica's are fingerfoods. You know, stuff like shanghai rolls, cheese sticks, siomai, chicken fingers, etc. It's like a buffet of appetizers.

We don't celebrate it but we do think about them on their birthdays. Its a good day to think about all the things you loved about them.

In our family we celebrate the birthday of our diseased father. We prepare dishes of his liking and serve it up among us as well as to our family friends.
