I will tell you this. To be a Christian you must believe in Jesus. This means you must believe his ministry and his followers (the New Testament.) Jesus knew the Old Testament. And Jesus called the word of God a double-egded sword. Jesus used the Bible and expects us too. Why would you go on a trip without the roadmap? The Bible is God's complete roadmap with instructions, love notes, and a million other little things. If you believe in Christ you should also believe in the Bible... they should go hand in hand. God Bless

I deeply respect the Bible as Sacred book with very high and proven hystorical value. But i dont believe that everything there is 100% true. There are different translations and interpretations of the fact in dependence of the different Christian churches, sects and etc.So how can all of us be sure?

Christ says that if you believe in him you are already saved! Follow what he teaches and you are welcomed into the Kingdom of Heaven.

Yes i do believe because first of all we are not to question God's work or his plan. We are to trust in him and know that everything will always be alright in his care,if you don't believe that then you can't say your a christian. The only reason I say I'm not a Christian but I am a believer is because I still have sinful ways and until I get rid of those I don't allow my self to call myself a Christian.

i dont think you can use "gods plan" as a point because, maybe god wanted me to not believe in some parts of the bible... you cant speak for god

Actually God's Plan is a Good Point for God's Plan is vague and unclear to human for we do not know HIS PLAN. Trusting his HEART is also a Good Point. It shows our belief to the Supreme being even we dont see HIM. And it is true, that maybe its our destiny not to believe on the theory of Bible and christianity and God. What more important is that we have something to believe in...whether we belive in God or Not. Believing onto something is very Human, it makes us functional and makes us an individual who is free to choose whatever we like. And bottom line....we respect each others' belief!

Knowledge about Christ comes from the Bible, Christian's teaching's biggest source is the Bible. It's not 'believe or not believe' the bible, but how we apply all the teaching in the bible with our daily life. For example, Paul ever said in the letters ( i frgot to which congregation), that man cat't have his hair long, and women must wearing a veil while attend a religious service , its not relevan with the world today, rite? So, if you reading something like this, all you have to do is find out the explanation, and then you know that what is he write is a standart of well mannered at his time. I need the bible, and a lot of things that i can found in the bible, and also, the words of God is new everyday. By the way, what is the red letters? I haven't heard about this beforr..

I personally believe that the bible is the complete word of God. If He is big enough to give his son for our salvation why is he not big enough to make sure that when men wrote the bible, his word, he was control of their thoughts and what they wrote? How can we expect him to heal us or the many things we pray for but doubt that he can have control of his word? So if God had control of the writing of his word, all of His words, how can we claim to be the followers of Jesus Christ, the Son of God.

if he controls them, he could control us, and there would be no point in anything

lool...k..really if one is omnipotent, there is no such thing as free will. this is because he knows all, so he knows the decisions and the outcomes, he knows the input and output. he knows exactly what im thinking, what i will do, and what i will do 10 years from now. there is no free will if he has already written what i will do before i am even born. so whats the point of judgment day? he already knows where your gonna end up..

"if he controls them, he COULD control us...." Could being the key word there. Of course He COULD control us. He chooses not to. And He didn't necessarily "control" the people the wrote it per se. He laid it upon their hearts and gave them the words to say.

Clearly, the bible is the word of God and we are wise to follow all of it's teachings. However, what we need to be careful of as Christians is that we follow God's word and not the inaccurate teachings based on a human's mistranslation of part of the scriptures into what they want the bible to say to suit their own concept of the way God should be rather than what He is.

Everyone can be called christians....all those who belive in Christ as God can be called christians? Are all Christians read the Bible? Are all Christians knows how to use the Bible? Are you Christian's indeed if you do not believe in what is written in the Bible. Bible is guideline, history, the book of all time (for christians). Are all christians have given the chance tyo read the Bible...Are you bible reader christian? or are you a listener christian? If those who cannot read, does mean their christianity is fake? Consider these questions..for Christianity and Believing in Bible may be connected but of diffrent logic.

There are so many good things and teachings and bible and people can get confused which ones should they do first. To me the essence of Bible lies in Matthew 22:37-40 Because if you apply that in your daily life, then you automatically do all the good things that Bible told you to.
