Making the US governments just look Bad!

(SPOILERS) for those who have seen the anime all the way through, don't they just make the US government look just plain 'ole wrong. I mean, they didn't mention who exactly was making the deal, but we did know it was the US involved in it since part of the anime does take place in New York. And they bombed something just to keep the truth from getting out that they made a bad deal and screwed up just because they wanted more power. I started laughing at the end when they were saying it was terrorist bombings that caused the explosion in the opera house. just noticing and wondering how true can they really be?? what will the government really do to hide things from us?? even go as far as blaming other countires maybe?? who knows...
