If given the challenge, could you live without a mirror for one week? How much

emphasis do you place on the outward appearance you show to the world?

I could definitely go without a mirror. Usually the only thing I use the mirror for is to see if I have bumps in my hair. I'm allergic to make up so its not like I'm using the mirror to put it on. I'm not one to spend a lot of time in front of the mirror either. I figure if people don't like how I look they don't have to talk to me. Of course I make myself look presentable but it doesn't mean that I have to go all out just to impress someone.

The only time I really give a good look at myself in the mirror is when I'm putting on the little bit of make-up I do use...otherwise I'm not big on looking at myself in the mirror all the time

LOL oh hell ya I could so! I could probably go more than a week actually...I'm not fond of mirrors other than a quick glance on occasion if I'm heading out the door but even then I barely check in a mirror...and doin my hair is sick-easy cause when its not braided, its in a bun...and I dont wear makeup usually either so yea I could do it easy..

I could definitely live without a mirror for a week, but probably only just one. I live alone, and when I wash my face, I want to make sure I got all the cleanser and mask off. I don't have any mirrors in my house besides the bathroom mirror, and I only look in it once in the morning when I wash my face and put my makeup on, and then at night when I wash my face and take the makeup off.

Sure, I could go a week without a mirror. I actually have done it a few times (when doing field work in remote locations, when out camping with friends...) Honestly, I think as long as you feel comfortable with yourself and your appearance, you shouldn't need to constantly be looking at your own reflection. And it's always nice to have good friends who will tell you if you've got something stuck in your teeth ;)

I have an extremely low self-esteem and, as a result, I rarely look in the mirror. My morning routine includes brushing my teeth (who needs to look in the mirror to do that), then throwing my hair in a clip and getting dressed. I shower at night and brush my hair before bed, so there's no need for a mirror there either. The only time I really look in the mirror is when I put on make-up before a special occassion - these occassions are few and far between around here.

Oh, just for a week? That's far too easy of a challenge for me and I'd happily take it, in fact make it a month and you're on! I don't need a mirror, why do I want to look at my ugly mug for LOL! I shave in the shower stops razor burn and I have an art of not missing any hidden bristles. My hair is nice and short so I don't have to spend hours over it, so why on earth do I need a mirror?

Hmm but wouldn't you worry you had something stuck in your teeth?

I could live forever without a mirror. I rarely look into one because I don't want to scare myself. I place no special emphasis on my outward appearance. I dress for myself....if others don't like my appearance it is their problem not mine. I rarely buy cosmetics and should by some fatal blow I received an invite to some fancy shingdig I would have to borrow some. I do have a couple of rags that would pass the test but I don't spend too much money on clothes or shoes.

I could do that easily. I don't need a mirror for most cases. The only time I really like having it is with my contacts. Other then that I might look in it while I brush my hair but the rest of the time? I know what I look like. On a normal basis I'm not going anywhere that I'd have to look excellent for. If I was that might be different but my average look is fine for every day life.

I really only use mine to check my teeth... to make sure there is nothing stuck between my teeth... for flossing. Other than that I glance (my closets are mirrored - just the way the house came) on my way out to make sure my hair isn't sticking up all over the place at odd angles.

Well I wouldn't sign up for anything like that and if they were doing it without my permission then it's still stalking.

I could go for a lot longer than a week. The only time I even glance at a mirror is when I am shaving. I'd either have to grow a really shaggy beard or cut myself badly a few times a week...LOL

Lol, why only a week? Why not forever? I could care less about mirrors, and how I look in all honesty..there are load more important things. I like to have fun with outfits, etc..but I wouldn' die without being able to see myself. I only fuss about certain things people want me to wear because of what they represent in my mind..not necessarily how they'd look on me.

I could definetly do this, I probably even do it now without even realising it. I'm not one to look in the mirror all that much. I'm the kind of roll out of bed, chuck clothes on, tie my hair up and run off to work kind of girl. None of which I actually use a mirror for. The only time I probably use a mirror is when I put make up on which happens once in a blue moon, generally if I'm going to a wedding or something like that.

I could do this easily. Im not someone who spends hours in front of the mirror carefully getting my hair style right and using just the right amount of hair gel and so on. My brother is just this type of person and i find it strange that someone would stick all sorts of hair gels and products in their hair so it becomes rock hard when they are just going out somewhere for no longer than a hour or two. I dont care what people on the street think about the way i look when i walk down the street and so i would be able to not use a mirror for a week without any problems.

Well I think it would be hard, only because I have to check myself in the mirror before I go out. If I could in my house for that week, I wouldn't need a mirror
