for me, i want to have a partner who is completely my opposite so that there will be a balance in my life. for example, i am messy and disorganized, therefore, my partner should be organized and neat. i am always tardy, therefore, my partner should be an earlybird. things like that makes up my qualities for a partner. what about you?

My boyfriend and I are exactly like that. I'm completely messy, he is organized and neat. For us, it seems to work just fine! :)

Indeed! He cleans up my mess by the way! When I get to his place, it seems that a hurricane showed up in there, and he has to fix my mess. :P

haha, well, you know, when my boyfriend and i are on a date, he cleans up my bag. :P you see, my bag is usually bulging of unnecessary stuffs like candy wrappers, flyers, ballpens that dont write anymore, etc. lolz. :)

I married somebody who is the complete opposite of me. We were married for 13 years and were never really happy. I am guessing....it is better to choose a partner who is alike and somebody you share mutual interests with. I am proof the other way does not work :(

oooh.. im really sorry about what happened to you and your partner.. but i guess there really is no exact formula for partners because some are happy living with their opposite.. i'm sorry for what happened though.. :(

I want someone who is God-fearing, someone I'll be very comfortable with to share my innermost thoughts, someone who talks and listens (not just listen!), fun to be with, with a great sense of humor, and responsible enough to be able to provide for me and our future family.

I think so too.. if choosing a partner you should choose the one who is really opposite on the attitude that you have. Because they say that opposites attract.

yes, i do believe in that saying, that opposites attract. you know, just like magnets. same polar magnets always repel each other, while magnets who have different polarities always stick to each other. :)

I married someone who shares the same values and interests. However, I've noticed that if both are working to improve the marriage, one person WILL overcome the shortcomings of the other even IF they share the same faults. Both of us are unorganized, but I've taken on that role of organizing. She took on the role of being punctual, even though she was not. Everything does eventually find balance.

yes, i do agree with you. balance is something that a successful relationship must have. just like me and my boyfriend, i am the one who is hot tempered and he is the one who is level headed. :)
