Toilet facilities:To touch or not to touch!

Places we go to that we don't know whether we should even touch the door knob...much less the toilet paper that you think to use to grab it instead. Do you squat over the toilet,or do you just wait til you get a better place to go to? What if you can't hold it any longer? What are the Health and Safety Codes for in places where they are not kept up on? What to do? Eternally Belonging to Jesus,Latisha

This isn't really going to answer much of your question but I carry a packet of Andrex wipes in my bag, it's like moist toilet tissues, saves using nasty paper provided. I would have thought that general Health and Safety Codes applied and the people responsible for the upkeep of the toilet would be liable to those codes.

The part of the wet wipes...oh yes that's great idea stuff there. Yes helps with cleanliness and also with not possibly getting something off of toilet paper that has gotten messed.Yes the people responsible to keep up the health and safety codes don't always do it...so this is where you say "What to do?" Yes I agree...don't sit and do your best not to touch. hand cleaner stuff, wipes, etc...something. Precaution is exactly what is needed to keep away germs.

If people actually sat insted ofsquatting, andcleaned up after themselves, the bathrooms wouldn't be in such a mess. I hate nothing more than using a toilet where someond has obviousluy squatted, because the seat isalways wet. Then, I not only have to clean the seat and wsh my hands before i go, I have to do the same after, just on principle that I may have missed something the last person left.

Can't say in some of these places you would even dare want to sit,or even try to sit. Clean up the mess that could possibly give you health problems if you were to get into the mess of someone who maybe has AIDS,or another very contractible disease...and you get it in some small open cuticle cut that you don't even realize you have. There could be miniscule remnants of fecal matter, blood, or etc that can get into places of small scratches on your hands, or on your thighs and buttocks that you don't even realize are there. i myself dont touch the doorknob of public cr's. i wait for someone who will go out or go in so that i can just slip through the door after them. lol. i really dont squat on the toilet, i just sit on the air because i really dont trust the sanitaion of public toilets. even in hotels, i dont sit on the toilet.

That sounds like a smart idea with not touching the doorknobs, and even a smarter idea to wait for the open doors to have a cean entrance or exit. Yes I also prefer to sit in the air to stay away from the germs because facilities are not kept too clean now days. Although I have been to some hotels that do truly keep up on their sanitation. I still prefer to clean my own rooms toilet before giving it a good sit down.
