My sister and some of her friend just left on a spontaneous trip to the race track. Tonight I'm too tired for spntaneous. Generally, I'm not a super spontaneous person, but it got me thinking about spontaneous things I have done in the past. One thing that stands out in my mind is when I was in college, one night in the middle of dinner my friend and I just got up and went to the store and bought a Sega Genesis...when we can back, our other friends were still eating dinner. We came in and said "look what we just bought!" They were so surprised, they thought we just went to the bathroom or something. Another spontaneous thing, with the same friend was we decided to go to New Orleans, so we bought our tickets, booked a hotel and were on a plane 3 days later. It was one of the most fun trips I have ever had. What are some spontaneous things you have done? What was your favorite thing?

I don't know about the most spontaneous thing I'e ever done, but I had a great time when me and a group of friends just spontaneously decided to have a party. It was one weekend when we couldn't think of anything to do, so we decided to have a pirate themed party. It was hilarious. Almost everything went wrong. There were baked goods and melting chocolates. In the end, the best part of the whole thing was making a mess with some friends and getting a pirate monkey for my personal collection.

This is embarassing, but I can't really remember that many spontaneous things I've done. There was a time in high school when me and a friend of mine met for breakfast before school one morning. While we were eating, we decided that it would be a total bummer to actually have to go to school with our full stomaches. So we decided to skip class, went to the science museum, and then made it home before our mothers were any the wiser. I've also been known to drag groups of friends to go see Rocky Horror Picture Show at midnight. As I've gotten older, that's been a harder and harder thing to convince people (myself included to do). Hmmm, this post has inspired me though. I think this is the kind of thing I need to add some spice to my life.

To be honest it's been a while since I have done anything really spontanous too. I'm a "planner" by nature. I'm with you on trying to spice up my life a little more!

When i was younger, theese sudden travelings were a tradition for me too. I had a boyfriend who lived in another place and for me it was normally to miss him so much, to take the first bus or train and to come to visit him at least for some hours.
