Hi Friends and Members, I would like to tell you a little about the place where I grew up. Well firstly is very well know for the wonderful beaches place and it is known as a peaceful surfing spot, people come from all over the country, interstate and overseas to visit it has a caravan park for people that want to stay there also once you leave the beach it then forms into a lake which is extremely large, where people can hire canoes and boats if they want to go fishing, also there is a wonderful area for water skiing and they also have a big area for making barbeques, the name Narrabeen comes from an Aboriginal woman that was the first person to swim the lakes of Narrabeen, this was her name. Would you like to come and visit where I was bought up and see for yourself.

Hi Kathy. I think I have passed through Narrabeen a few years ago when we visited my son in Port Lincoln, SA. We drove up the whole of the coast road which took two days before to get home to the Gold Coast. That whole coastline is absolutely magnificent, and we do live in a paradise when you think about it. We are very lucky. Perhaps I will get down to visit you one day and see your town properly; I'd love to meet you.

Narrabeen is an interesting name. I always like to know the story behind the names whether it is people names or places names. My husband loves to surf and it is his best hobby. Myself I love the beach so yes! I would love to visit and see the place if it was possible. If I were to go there then meeting you would be a pleasure for me! Take care Kathy.

What a lovely place Narrabeen is Kathy, especially the long long beach. I have been to Narrabeen a couple of times mainly for the beach, as it doesn't get as crowded as some beaches as it's so long. I originally come from the UK and when I saw the beaches here in Australia I was overwhelmed by their beauty the white sand and the clear blue sky's. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else now, so thanks for sharing this with us all.

I would love to come visit you, sounds like just my kinda place and I've always wanted to visit Austrilia anyway. Now it would be fun to meet you also :) Maybe I'll get plane tickets for Mother's Day - sure I won't but can dream tonight at least.
