God made this world, and god made us.
The story of my life, is narrated thus.
I was born amidst, great fuss and joy,
For my family ,I was like a toy.
No regrets whatsoever, that I wasn't a boy.
My elders taught me to walk and speak,
They instilled values to reach the peak,
And perseverence for goals, I wanted to seek.
But the one who has moulded my personality,
With a distinct touch of individuality,
And put great stress on originality,
Like a guiding star who has shown me the right way,
Is my wonderful mother,
Whom I salute on MOTHER'S DAY!!!!!

What a wonderful present to your mom!! I hope she reads it,lol.Most of us feel that way about our mothers.Sometimes we forget to express it in as many words to her ,but when we miss her ,we learn to appreciate her better.I wish your mom a happy Mother's day!:-D

thanks buddy!I'll make sure that she reads it as soon as she's back.lol.I have written it in the jumbo card too which me and my sis have made for her.a book,some chocolates and a small posy of roses are waiting for her.
Thanks for the wishes.I'll extend it to her.you could have done it urself too.She often remembers and talks about you.I feel she wants me to become as nice as you.lol.:D I wish your mom a belated happy mothers day too.kindly convey it to her.:)

My heart just swelled.Now I don't know what to say ,lol.If I hadn't already answered the compliment thread ,I would have included this one there,lol.Nah ,lol Just be yourself ,I think you are an awesome person.You guys truly made her feel special!:-) I will pass on your greetings to my mom,Worthy :-)

Very well written. Beutifully worded! Full marks for your thoughtfulness.
If it has been written by you ( I suppose...it is..)then you are superb writer and a poet. MY congratulations to you on writing such a wonderful peom as a tribute to 'dear Mother'.
Yes, I feel the same for my mother. I also believe that mother and child relationship is supreme.

Oh! My God! Not only you are a good poet, your mother too! that's great! I agree that - "when you feel for someone words come to your mind on their own." But even if I feel, it is very diffcult for me to write a peom. It is an art...which everyone does not possess. Atleast, I do not.
I feel nice to be friend of a 'poetess' like you (it is really great!).
And thanks very much for wishing my mother a 'happy mothers' day". I am really touched and overwhelmed by your gestrue.

Worthy, this is such a lovely poem!! Nicely said. Your mother must've been very proud of you. I used to write poems when i was in highschool and college but now couldn't find the time to do so. You're lucky like i am, we have such wonderful moms. We love them but not as much as they loved us, my mom is my bestfriend and i love her so much! Happy mothers day to your mom!God bless! and pls. do continue to write...it's worth reading.

You are a very talented writter. I am sure your mom will be proud to get such a nice thoughtfull gift from her daughter. I have to agree with you that most people do feel the same way about their own mother. Its such a great feeling to have.

I know that not everyone has a wonderful mom so when a person does as I do they appreciate their mom that much more. Mom always made time for each and everyone of us. That in and of itself was a feat. There is a total of ten in my family. Five brothers and four sisters. Five girls counting myself. Along with taking care of us because she didn't leave us with babysitters she worked along side of dad in a bussiness he had started. She would bring the paperwork home and sit at the table after we had gone to bed and work on it. I have memories of her cooking cookies, having our friends over and she never let us get away with anything. It was like she had eyes in the back of her head. We would go out to the country and swim in the river and barbacue. We had a lot of fun. Of course we had our chores to do but you figure when their are a lot of you it doesn't take any time to finish them up. I love my mom very much and thank her for the good care she took of me and my brothers and sisters.

A poetic way to express your feeling.Its really nice to read.Its true and we should always take care of our precious mother.Yesterday i wished my mom and gave her a complete day rest fro her kitchen work.Being her only daughter i cooked food for her and others.She was very happy and i too enjoyed that atleast i helped her one day which is hers.

Honestly, I couldn't be around my mom for more than 5 minutes without getting in a fight with her. We just had clashing personalities. She did love me though, and I loved her, and I miss her so much. She always did her best with me, though I had my own ideas. I get along better with my daughter, and try not to do and say the same things my mom did that would irritate me so much. I wish I could have gotten along better with my mom.
