There are many tasks in myLot for a member to perform. creating discussions, responding to discussions, commenting to responses, rating discussions etc., tagging discussions, uploading pictures, and selecting the best response are the main tasks. We have to look after all these things. I use to attened all these tasks in a daily basis, except resoving discussions and uploading pictures. I don't start many discussions. Average one a day. So resolving can be made later. I do all the other works daily. I have a lot of time. I spent many hours in myLot. So some how I manage these works. I wonder how those who have a regular job manage to complete these works. How do they manage time for myLot? What about you? Have you got any special strategy such as giving priorities to the order of works to be done? Do you fix a target for your works in myLot? Please share your strategies and experiences.

I too sould like information on how people manage MyLot. I have just started recently and have started a number of discussions. I have not really been responding to anything too much until today and I have not even touched selecting the best responses or uploading pictures. I would like more information on the benefits of those things as I was under the impression that starting discussions was the way to go. cheers

golfpro, starting new discussions are important. But responding to other discussions is more important. Both these action earn money for you. Optionally you can upload relevant pictures along with discussions. That also will earn you money. You should read every response to your discussion and comment on them if necessary. The selection of best response can be done later. Dont forget to rate the responses and the discussions to which you offer responses. Read the responses here, you may get valuble information. Thank you golfpro for responding to this discussion.

When you start a discussion, in the typing page there is the option'upload picture'. Cick it and enter the path to the desired picture stored in your hard disc or the internet. Clic upload. That's all.

Everyday is different and if I have time I will try to log on and do as much as I can. It does get hard sometimes as I have other things I want to get done too. I have been reading that some people find it really time consuming to upload pictures and thing but it is nice to see sometimes. Some days I am able to start discussions but other days I just respond as I can't think of anything to discuss. I usually like to repsond to dicussions that catch my eye and are interesting or relevant to me. I don't think to much about priorities as the tasks are pretty much worth the same value I think. I don't know and I don't know if anybody else nows exactly how we are awarded. It would be nice so that we can understand the system a bit better and follow the rules better too. If there is a way of succeeding here I am not really aware of it. I just try my hardest with what time I have which sometimes is not a lot of time anyway. Good luck with yourself. Have a nice day mate.

Well said theone3nu, no body knows the real rates or norms for payment. No point in spinning your head. The basic reality. Thank you for your response.

Most of my "logging in" happens while at work. I respond to my friends discussions via the email notifications. I only create a discussion if I have something in my head. I don't put a set goal on discussion starting. I'd rather it be something I really feel good about posting, than something not even worthy of typing out. I check my responses to friends discussions and reply as needed. I always pick a best answer when one of my discussions hits a week old. I do the things you've described, but I don't spend hours here doing it. I may do some here and some there. I normally respond to about 20 discussions a day. This is a place for me to meet new people, discuss topics, enjoy conversation, learn neew things about different countries and cultures. I am not really here for the money. It is a nice bonus, but not my driving force, so I don't put any "earning" type goals on myself or my time here at Mylot.

That is very nice to hear. I also believe that the money we are paid with is only an incentive. However it is the most important and attractive factor for the growth of the site. Thank you for the response.

well.. i think you're right.. the core success in mylot is to create quality discussion.. and participate more in other discussion.. i earn $20 last month.. and i think that's quite good since that's my first payment here.. i think we do get paid if we work hard here.. and i don't think anyone should say that they can't earn here eventhough they've tried.. that's laziness.. if you be more hardworking.. and focus more on solving others problem.. you'll be able to earn as well as to gain knowledge here.. well. .that's all i know about mylot =)

I am a student , an Engineering student and so obviously I have to study hard .... Initially I used to Participate in mylot discussions for the money ... but now its for the pleasure and the money has taken a secondary status ...... I aim to answer about 7-10 discussions per day and start one question ..... This takes me about One hour .. and thats the most time I ever spend on mylot .... But If Mylot considers stopping the payment , I think I'll stop posting that frequently .....

A very realistic statement. Yes now it is the time for you to study. Only after that can you visit myLot. In one hour you are doing a good job. Thank you, toxic_f22 for your response.

YEs..it requires more time. For me, I am working full time in my job. I just open mylot when I reach home or sometimes during breaktime in the office. When I get home, I open my computer, browse my mail and open mylot. I will choose only discussion from my interest so I can give quality responses, if ever there's no new good discussion on my interest, i browse other discussions. Anyways, I agree with you that mylot needs a lot of time. So far I have earned only $12 on my first payout and $8 now and I have been a member since September 2006...I wanted to give more time to mylot but I cant.

I really do not have a particular strategy to do well here on myLot. I used to spend more time creating topics but now I respond to others topics. I try to spend a little bit of time doing all of these things, with uploading pictures being the least important. I think the others are very important in doing well here. I do not set any goals with the amount of responses I give or how many topics I create. I try to help my friends out with their topics and also try and help the new people as well here.

I'm completely disorganised as to my workings on myLot! I mainly respond to others discusions and start the occasional one of my own if I have something i'd like to say. I don't have a lot of time to spend here, but it does become addictive after a while and my work gets a bit neglected I have to say. That reminds me, I must make that red coral bracelet....

I try to answer as many of my friends discussions as possible. Sometimes I will answer discussions with no responses and new discussions but most of the time I am too busy. It took me 2 months to make the $11.00...not enough time to be on mylot.

Hello, abroji,I have a full time job,i can only be able to logon to mylot at the night time or at the weekend,i will not start discussions everyday,i will only do it when i get enough time to comment to replies, the most i will start in one day is 2 or 3,i prefer to reply more and read more discussions,at this moment,i cannot choose the best response due to some glitches,I will try my best to reply as many as i can everyday, anyway,i enjoy the time when I am here. Good luck and hope you enjoy.

I think you manage your time tactically. Though you start discussions at a moderate rate all of them use to attract loads and loads of responses. Congratulations. I surely enjoy the time I spent here. Thank you for your response, easy.

I would get on MyLot mostly on my offdays and do a lot of discussions in responding to them, and what have you. I I don't start a lot of discussions unless I have something I need to ask or what have you. Today, I am trying to build back up my earnings since I just got my first payout on Friday and feel good about it.

I found MyLot when my main program was being fine-tuned so had lots of time. I was able to get to $13.11 in my first month and received payment recently. I have been finding it more difficult now that my program is back and am busy promoting that. I hope I can make loads of money soon to leave my job and spend more time on the internet. I like to ask questions in my discussions or tell about things that have happened to me. So then I need to check if they have had any responses. Alfieklondike is back and his discussions are hilarious so they take ages to read and I am finding I am not getting very much done this month for the time I have available. I like to try and keep up with the discussions my friends have started but tend to only comment on ones that don't already have 100s of replies. I reached 500 posts so can add photos to discussions but that tends to take a disproportionate amount of time for the pay so I don't do it much. Copy and paste is good but since each reply is unique it does not save much time. I tried recruiting to earn me more quicker but no success so far. I hope to be around a long time so there is plenty of time to make friends, enjoy myself and earn at the same time. What could be better?

Your first month earning is fantastic in my standards. I am already three months here and only now did I qualify for my first payout. I'll get the payout next month. All the best to your myLot ventures and thank you magicalmerlin for the response.

I work Full time at an accounting firm, but I use my computer alot at work and I'm new so I cant say too much, but I generally try to respond to a few interesting posts per day, and when I do I keep it simple but don't make my answers and discussions too short either. Unless you make 50 posts a day im not sure how one could make more than 40-50 a month using mylot.

Resolving a discussion means selecting the best response. As far as we don't select a best response from a dicussion opened by us it will remain as unresolved discussion. I don't understand about the 'uncover threads' matter. I can't even find it. Any way. I thank you for responding to my discussion.

I do not start many discussions so I start off by checking my email and responding to discussions started by my friends. Next I upload photos. Last I look for new discussions or discussions with no responses and I respond to them.

Right now I still don't usually upload photos, because I don't have my own digital camera and I feel a little bit guilty when uploading pictures that I found in other website or pictures that not originally taken by me so I just stop uploading. I also don't want to force myself in creating discussions especially when I'm not in mood to do it, so I don't have regular discussion to post everyday. Admittedly I'm a below average mylot user but its because my everyday life is spinning not only in mylot so I just give my leisure time to it and visit here when I fell I like too and not because I need too. And that way makes me not to get bored here.

I'm sorry to say that I don't think we can define a success in mylot. Here we just talk, discuss, argue, and share ideas. No matter how many posts one has had, it doesn't not necessarily mean a success.

I am afraid you are a little bit misunderstood the topic at discussion. It is not about success in mylot but about how members manage their time to complete the different tasks in mylot. Success is a defferent matter. Thank you for your response.

Even though I've just started here, I worked out a strategy for this site already. I try to accomplish all my work here in a specific amount of time based on that day's schedule. Like today, for example, I can spend more time on here because I have less obligations to fulfill in other areas of my life. Tomorrow I'll be spending less time here because I have too many other things to do. I find that, when I schedule the time in, my work is more productive and I accomplish more.
