Evenflo infant car seat/carrier recalled; fall hazard

In the news today on 13abc.com Evenflow Infant car seats recalled. Made before April 08/ 2006. Caution Please read the news article, and let us keep all babies safe. Evenflo has received 679 reports of the handle on the car seat/carriers unexpectedly releasing, resulting in 160 injuries to children. http://abclocal.go.com/wtvg/story?section=alerts_recalls&id=5300483

I got a notice about that in my mail the other day. I'm glad I filled out all of those registry cards when I got all that baby gear. I plan on having more children so I need to get the repair kit!

Wow thats pretty scary. I hate hearing about infant seat recalls. :*( And 679 reports, WOW!

Thanks for the information! We have one of those that we used for my son when he was a small baby. Luckily we never had any problems with it, but I will get the repair kit before we have another baby. That's pretty scary thinking about all those babies that have been hurt. There might be a lot more, too, that just never reported it.
