My boys are teens now, so I don't need a sitter for them.
When they were little and we lived near family, then the family members would watch them. Mainly, both grandmas did the baby sitting for us when they were young. Occasionally, we did have to hire a sitter, they were cheap back then ($1 or $2 an hour for both kids) lol. Now-a-days I hear they charge around $5 or $6 an hour for one kid. One would go broke having sitter often.

It depends on what I need the sitter for. My mom will keep my kids for a doctors appointment or something I have to do that is important for free but if I want to go out and party or a night on the town I have to pay her because she looks at it if I have the money to go out I have the money to pay her a little bit. She does keep the older ones sometimes just because she wants to. I rarely get a sitter outside of my family because I don't just trust anyone with my kids.
