Hi.. Friends do think that dogs should wear clothes.According to me it is not right to disturb them by these kinds of activities.By making them wear clothes we feel happy, but do we ever think about them. They are not humans, they do not have habit of wearing clothes. We have the habit of wearing clothes, jst think how would u feel if u r forced to move around naked. According to me we should let them live as they wish. What is ur opinion about this?

I think dogs don't need clothes as they have fur, all over, and it makes them warm. so putting clothes on dogs is like a human putting on 2 or more layers of clothing. Its probably cute or whatever in the eyes of the owner. I could understand it if its incredibly cold outside, then dog clothes would be okay.

I think it depends on the dog. I have two boxers and put winter coats on them. They don't mind them at all. Play clothes I guess are different. If the dogs hates it I wouldn't do it.

Oh and yes dogs have fur...but unless your dog is an outdoor dog they don't grow a warm enough winter coat. My dogs shiver in the winter.

Like you, I don't think dogs should be clothed. Some of the small dogs look cute though with ribbons etc. but some dog lovers really spend lots of money for various accessories for their dogs and I think it's stupid spending because I don't think the dogs really like wearing those things.

I have a little terrier that loves to wear shirts. She has a bald belly, and is always cold. She sleeps under the covers, too. We live in a really cold area of the US. She hates going out in the winter time, and pretty much refuses to if she isn't wearing a shirt.

I thnk most dogs really can do quite nicely without wearing clothes. A little bandana or flashy collar can be nice, but beyond that, the dog always looks a bit embarassed. The exception would be dogs that are so highly bred that they are no longer dog like. My friend has a King Charles and the poor thing doesn't have enough fur or robust of a nature to withstand the elements and is often shivering. If he were mine I would get him a litle dog coat for walks.

I think people can go over board with the clothing for their dogs. But I have a little minature and in the winter if I dont put a shirt on her she will freeze, due to the fact that she only has half her hair. Every one feels different and has their own reasons behind what they do but its better seeing dogs with clothing than seeing them on the streets with no owners.

I feel everyone is comfortable in their natural environment. God has given them enough of insulation from cold so they should not be made uncomfortable by making them wear clothes.

To tell you honestly, I don't think we should let them wear clothes. You are right about that. One problem that you might encounter is that..what if the dog will just bite the clothes and it'll be a waste of money.
