I have seen people with lot of talents and lot of potentials. But only few of them actually achieve success. Though they are masters of their areas, they are still not getting respect for it. On the other hand, people with limited skill and knowledge, with good communication skills and relationship marketing, easily achieve a huge success. Their success is determined by their attitudes and building relationships in a very easy manner. Thus, I have started to believe that knowledge and skills aren't enough. One needs to have the potential to build relationships with as many people as one can. The more relation means the more link. And I believe that is what important. I would like to know your views in this topic.

i also think that a person with good communication skills has more opportunities to succeed. in modern society, lots of work can't be done without cooperation with others. i'm not good at managing relations with others and it has sometimes hindered me in my work.

Glad that you agree with me. But at the same time sorry that you are not good at managing relations. Well, I am no good as well. But I think it is a matter of practice. With time and situation, we can manage relations well.

True, in todays world it is very correct. But there is something you are missing my friend, a person with not very good communication skills or potential to build relationships with as many people as one can, can live his life well with his limited skill and knowledge. Whereas...a person only blessed with good communication skill and ability to build relationship might find it hard without knowledge, right? All of these can act as additives to knowledge, but can just not replace knowledge.

Absolutely, knowledge is a must. Just communication skill wouldn't do. What I was trying to convey was that people with good knowledge can go very far if he has a very good communication skills. If he doesn't have it, he remains average.

Well, I didn't mean to tell that only one thing is important. I was just trying to stress on which one is more important. And yeah, you are absolutely right. OPPORTUNITY. It's a big factor. Everything on one part and this single thing on one part. I think the equilibrium is the same.
